10:00 AM Lilly update

Lilly still hasn't eaten. Now they think there's something going on with her tummy. When the vets feel around it she starts to want to puke. They have been taking xrays and say her tummy is very large. Possibly a tumor or something blocking it? She's on a medicine that helps to empty out her stomach if there is something stuck in there. It helps the tummy to contract smoothly too. It's given underneath the skin. Her bun and creatnine levels are normal so that's good too! They'll give her another dose of the reglan later and another xray. Mom will go visit again tonight. Looks like another night in the hospital. We are purraying so hard it's just some sort of nasty blockage and needs to be pushed through. She's resting comfortably and they are so nice and keeping her so comfy. She's getting the best care and we feel very at ease she's in the best place for now. We're also lucky it's only about 2 miles from our house.

  1. Oh dear. I hope this is just a blockage that goes on through. The PM had a cat before with a similar condition so she empathizes with you all.

    Purrs and hugs to everyone.

  11. Oh gosh, I hope poor Lilly will be better soon! Our mergency vet is close, too, an they's furry furry nice bof times Bonnie was der.

Fur t-giving 2005, Bonnie stopped eatin an dey said to call any time, 24-hours a day, wif questions or just to check on her. Then they sent her home wif a bandage on her leg an Mom didn't know she could take it off, an Bonnie's paw swelled up round it! Mom called that vet rite then (11 PM) an yup, just take it off.

I's glad you an Lilly haf nice, helpful mergency vets, too. You don't want to deal wif a nitwit at a time like dis!

  13. Oh poor Lilly, I hope it's just a blockage and it will pass 'through' now...it's good that her 'levels' are okay, so it can't be the 'final stages' of CRF, or can it ?
Keeping my fingers crossed that it isn't something 'serious' that is blocking her stomach.
