Me and Mommy can tell you from experience that calico cats are 'da bomb! Our Puff and Powder are wonderful girls and I think adopting a 5 year old kitty is a great thing!
Ok, mommy read about both the girls and even before she read about Izzy, she could see the troublemaker in her eyes...just like Toy! The Calico seems to be more compatible to Laila I am glad you are considering her because older kitties aren't as quickly adopted and Laila would do better with a sister. The way our Mommy looks at it,... it's just that many more fur babies that will greet her at the bridge! So far...16 kitties, 10 doggies, 1 horse, 1 squirrel, 7 rabbits, 4 hamsters, 2 guinea pigs & 2 talking crows!!!!=^Y^=Ty&Mommy
Oh Laila! Da dadee here sez dat calicoz iz speshul cats & dats evfurry one should haz one. We do!!! & mebbe so should you! Dey would makes a furry good sissie fur you.
Love Izzy's baby face (and she is qutie the baby) but reading Briana's profile she sounds perfect for you -- brushing, lapcat. And shes so pretty! Not sure I like that name though :P
It's too bad you don't live closer to MD. One of my best friends has two young cats needing a home and one of them is a calico. The other is a tabby. Both sweet girls.
I also have a calico girl that I love very much. But honestly I love all my cats no matter what their color. I too think it's great that you're looking at grown cats.
James Harriot the English vet that wrote those wonderful books always reccomended getting a new pet to help you get over the loss of a pet.
Thank you for your words on Tyler's blog. My heart really goes out to you because of what's going on at our home. Ty's mom

ReplyDeleteOh calicos are almost as wonderful as Meezers!
ReplyDeleteCalicos are great! Our mom had two calico girls when she was younger. Now she has us house panthers. We are purring and praying for you all.
ReplyDeleteZippy sez dat calico cats are best...but she's a little self absorbed. We say it's a real tribute to Lilly that your mom is looking to adopt another.
