You cannot imagine how silky soft the top of Laila's head is. In fact, her whole body is very silky soft. When she was a wiggly kitten, it was impossible for Mom to hold on to her because she'd slip right out.
This is Roomba, one of the many feral kitties Mom fed at her day hunting job. In the background is the road
all those ferals would cross every day, all day long. When Mom would
watch, she'd hold her breath and pray none of them would get hit by a
car. It was amazing to watch, though, as you could see their ears
turning like radar listening for the cars and trucks. Thank cod she
never saw one get hit!
Angel Lilly was sitting on the window ledge hoping Mom would open the window so she could get some fresh air. But as you can see, there is a lot of snow outside so it's a pretty good bet Mom didn't give in to her.
For those of you not on Facebook, yesterday Mom made Mexican lasagne and put it out to cool. Well, you guessed it, I started licking the melted cheese on top.
It was quite a challenge for her to find something that would keep me out of it. hehehe! Well, she thought of the laundry basket and it worked.
Then she looked over and saw me sitting on the top of the basket. She said a few words from the HBO list, lifted me very gently from the top then decided to move everything to the dining room table and block it off from me.
It's so hard for Mom to stay one step ahead of me! MOL
This is probably my mostest favoritest place to hang and sleep.
Whenever Mom turns the water on I come a runnin' like a little bat out
of "you-know-what" to get ready to lick the water drops off the bowl and
under the faucet. Mom knows this is gonna happen, so she braces
herself for my presence.
Many thanks to Ann of Zoolatry for our cute graphics for our special day!
This is Sue, the foster mom (holding baby Laila) who fostered both of us in her house before Mom came and adopted us. She is the sweetest lady!
The first picture taken of Laila at our house as a 10 week old little kitten. She came to live here on July 6, 2007. She was such a tiny girl!
One of the first pictures of Minchie taken on July 6, 2008 on his first day here. Laila is under the couch hiding from him. They both got along very quickly. It's so strange how we both came to live here on the exact same date a year apart.
