Easy like Sunday morning

Mom said she's going to be joining us for Easy Sunday today as she's barely been home the past three days.

Mom is in love with this dude she saw at the Trans-Siberian Orchestra concert yesterday.
She said he was playing his guitar just for her.

Merry Christmas

Mom says I'm in the dog house today because I got her up at 3:15 am having my daily smackdown with Angel. We usually wait until 6:25 am but we are all geared up for Chrissymouse and out of control. Mom fed all of us thinking it would quiet us down and she could go back to sleep.

And I'm in the dog house with Laila too. She and I were having a smack down on the bed at 6:25 am and woke mom up again. Needless to say, mom was not happy with the bunch of us.

And here I sit being the purrfect little angel that I am.
That's why I was named Angel.
We want to wish all of our friends a very Merry Christmas and hope you have a wonderful time with your famblies.

Wordy Wednesday

Minchie waiting very patiently for his turn in the Loki tent.
Laila keeps hoping Loki will come and join her.

This is our very good friend from The Netherlands, Snuitje. Mom has known her for over ten years now. She met them on a website (not theirs) that had 9 webcams set up in a house in The Netherlands and a message board.

This is Fafnir, her sister. Fafnir is a Norwegian Forest Cat, just like our friend Siena. Don't worry, they never go outside unless their mom is with them.

Treeless Tuesday

This is a picture of mom's Christmas tree from a Christmas gone by. She just loved it!It had a cat angel tree topper and 99% of the ornaments were kitty ornaments.

Our sisters-who-came-before-us, Cerise (left) and Lilly (right) just loved laying underneath it. This was Christmas 2006, Cerise's last Chrissymouse with mom.

Well, when Christmas 2007 came along, Laila was a 7 month old kitten. Mom slowly introduced her to the tree but no matter what, Laila absolutely would not go into any room that she could see it from as she was terrified of it. And being we live in a one bedroom condo, she was very limited on where she could go. For two weeks mom put up with this and feeling just terrible her little girl was so terrified of it. Well, mom said Laila was more important to her than a tree, so after enjoying it for 2 weeks, one night before Christmas she came home from work and took it all down and put it away. It still took a lot of patience for mom to get Laila to come out into the living room again with it gone, but finally succeeded. Mom has tried much smaller trees and nothing works. She was a terrified little 6 week old feral kitten when she was rescued so who knows what she went through those first 6 weeks.

So, you are probably wondering what happened to the tree? Mom tried to sell it but no one was interested so she donated it last year to Angel's mommy's work as their office tree was falling apart. She hopes to get over there today or tomorrow to visit it and take a picture of it.

Mancat Monday

Since we mancats don't have a Chrissymouse tree to sit under, we will sit on the couch with our Chrissymouse quilt.
Tune in tomorrow to hear why we can't have a Chrissymouse tree anymore.

Easy like Sunday morning

Laila's turn on the couch with the Chrissymouse quilt.

Minchie's turn in the box.

Angel on his rug from his house.
Mom brought it upstairs to live with him until he goes home.
More snags in his return home.
Maybe he should just stay here permanently.

NOT A CREATURE WAS STIRRING.
NOT EVEN A CAT.

Saturday Caturday

Laila has been taking her turn in the lokithecat tent.
She dreams a lot about him when she's in there and wishes he would come and join her.
There is plenty of room!

Formerly Feral Friday

Auntie Peggy! Laila won't get out of the box! It's my turn in there!

Our moms are going to a Chrissymouse dinner tonight with some neighbors from our building. We are hoping there will be leftovers to be brought home and shared with us!

Thankful Thursday

Our mom got an email the beginning of December from a nice lady who lives in Louisiana with her Siamese and two Balinese furry babies who enjoy reading our blog and wanted to send a few cat toys to us. The kitties names are Calle, Halle and Sukki. Our package arrived yesterday and look what was inside!

Angel and I are snoopervising all the great stuff and sniffing some strange smells on these presents.

Okay, mom, open the card so we know who to thank! And while you're at it, I think some of those yummy Temptations are in order too!

Aren't these girls just gorgeous? They don't have a blog but we keep trying to convince them to get one started. They are so cute in their Christmas collars!

Do you see in the stocking there is a little football? We need to get a game going as soon as we tear into it. And the memo pad is for mom to keep a list of foods we need. Very smart thinking!

Calle, Halle and Sukki, thank you again for thinking of us this Chrissymouse and we are so glad to have met you. Please don't be shy about leaving comments on our blog, okay? It was so nice of you to send all the pawsome gifts!

Je veux la tente

Our buddy, lokithecat, was giving away a new tent and to win all you have to do is to write “Je veux la tente” in the comments for a chance to win.  Our name was chosen and we won the tent!

Laila and Angel checking out this big box with all the interesting smells.

Bubble wrap!  Boy, mom better get this out of the box quick since I love to nom on this sort of thing.

Oh, what have we here?

Nice and cushy!

A mancat tent, just like the one Loki has!  Minchie is checking out underneath the cushion.

Laila snuck in but we have a feeling she won't be in there for long.

WOW!  An Angel sized tent!

Minchie horning in on Angel's turn.

Minchie is the true owner of the tent.  It's his absolute favorite spot to nap!

Thank you, Loki, for picking our name!  We love it and think it's so cool you have the same one!

Tunnel Tuesday

Laila spends the most time in our new tunnel.
This is also where she takes a lot of her daily naps.
All three of us could fit in there it's so nice and roomy!

Mancat Monday

Laila! It's Mancat Monday! Get out of the picture! We just realized in this picture it looks like Laila's hiney is getting ready to do something nasty to me, but it's really just her jumping off the bed and how it was captured by that flashy thing. But it really does look funny!

Easy like Sunday morning

This is where we will be spending our day.
Please turn off the light on your way out.
Thank you very much.

New tunnel!

Minchie here. Mom finally found a cat tunnel big enough so Angel could fit! It's our Chrissymouse present this year and she found it at my ladycat Baby Patches' store SuppliesJust4pets.com. I can still smell my Turkish Princess' lovely smells on it.

Today is also Angel's mommie's birthday! Our mom is taking her out to dinner at Sweet Tomatoes. Happy Birthday Auntie Dee!

We won a raffle!

There was a raffle over at our friend's The Ozark-Mountain-Cats blog and we won this beautiful Chrissymouse quilt! It is more beautiful in person if you can imagine! Mom is so excited as it's the very first quilt she's ever owned. Since we don't put up a tree anymore because of my sister, Laila's, crippling fear of them, this gorgeous quilt will more than make up for it!

I just love all the Chrissymouse kitties on the quilt! Laila isn't a couch girl so we don't think she even knows it's here.

I think I am catching a whiff of the Mountain Cats.

Angel is the official guard cat with his laser eyes.

Thank you again Ozark-Mountain-Cats!!!

Thankful Thursday

Hold on Minchie, I see a spot on the top of you head that needs cleaning.

While I'm checking your ear out for cleaning, Laila, I'll tell you a little secret. We are both very thankful to have each other to help out with the cleaning of the furs that are so hard to reach.

Tummy, Toesies and Tail Tuesday

Sorry, mom, but there will be no bed making today! We are having our first snowfall and this is just where I'm gonna be all day. Any of you are welcome to join me.

Mancat Monday

I am looking very scruffy in this photo because I'm not the most cooperative kitty when it comes to being combed. But lately when I lay on my blankie on mom in the recliner, she uses a special comb on me and goes the opposite of the furs and gets all those ugly straggly ones out. My furs are looking much better, more like my ladycat and Turkish Princess Baby Patches'. Mom is still working of getting a good photo of me with my new look so stay tuned.
