Tail Tuesday

Look at the tail on this guy! Meet Samson, one of our neighbor's kitty, who was our sister Cerise's(RIP) boyfriend. His owners let him come and go but he never strays off their patio. Mom took this picture of him the other day when he came near the bedroom window to say hi. Then late last night, Mom was out on the balcony and saw he was still outside so she got dressed and went down to see if he was locked out. Their screen was closed so Mom went in and knocked on their front door to tell them Samson was outside. Sure enough, they forgot he was out there and brought him to the door so Mom could see and pet him. She was in heaven as he was all over her and purring and meowing up a storm for her while she petted and talked her kitty baby talk to him. Being that he is a boy, he's much darker than Cerise(RIP) was. Mom was so tempted to snatch him up and run away with him.

Friday Flashback

This Friday Flashback goes back to August 10, 2007

What the devil did she do to me now!

Thankfully I'm growing like a weed and won't be able to fit in this contraption much longer!

My cute little Irish kitty.

Mancat Monday

This typically crazy weather here in Chicago has me plum worn out! One day the air conditioning is on and the next day the heat is on. Make up your mind, Mother Nature! They say we go right from winter into summer here. It's a wonder the flowers survive!

Our hearts and purrs go out to the people and animals of Joplin, MO as they deal with their horrendous loss of life and property from the killer tornado there yesterday. Joplin is about 160 miles south of Kansas City, MO where our mom lost a house to a nasty tornado many, many years ago.

Furry Visitor!

Last night Mom went to her church for the monthly scrapbook get together with her friends. Because it was so nice out, they had the outside side door open. All of a sudden everyone was saying "Look! There's a cat in here!" This very handsome and friendly mancat was just making himself at home visiting everyone.

Mom was upset as he had no collar on and still had his hoo-haas attached. He had to be a neighbor's kitty as he was so friendly.

He loved Mom's jacket. Probably because he could smell our smells on it.

They tried to get him back outside by tempting him with tortilla chips, which he really liked.

After Mom finally got him back outside within a minute he was back inside! Another lady came in and he ran right past her back into the room!

Again, Mom tried to get him back outside but was having nothing doing with the tortilla trick. She finally just picked him up and took him out then ran back in. He laid in front of the big glass doors meowing at us when we'd get up to see if he was still there. Eventually he went home.

Friends Friday

We can't tell you how excited we are to have been hatted by our good friends, SAS - Sammy, Andy and Shelly !

Laila is so beautiful in her SAS hat that she could easily wear to the Kentucky Derby or any Royal Wedding.

And Minchie is so debonair and handsome in his beret. Too much mancat for all the girl kitties we're sure!

Thank you so much, Sammy, Andy and Shelly for our hats!

Thankful Thursday

Mom placed an order with my Turkish princess and ladycat, Baby Patches mom's cool store and when Mom opened up the box and dumped everything out on the floor I immediately jumped on something that was in the box especially for me from my princess. Mom was trying to see what it was because I became a zombie cat and each time she tried to grab it I would growl at her. Finally she saw it was an organic catnip toy in the shape of a heart. When Laila would come over to try to get a few licks in, I'd whap her and chase her away. Mom has to keep it in a drawer and bring it out once a day because I go a little nuts when it's out.

So, thanks to Baby Patches and her mom for putting in the extra little treat of my ladycat's heart.

Tummy and Toesies Tuesday

Laila and Angel sharing and showing off tummy and toesies together. This was taken back when he lived with us that year.

Angel did great with his teeth cleaning yesterday! They had to pull two molars. He's resting comfortably with his mom in his house downstairs from us. Our mom will go down a couple times today to check on him to make sure he's okay while his mom is at work. He's one tough 14 year old! Thanks to all of you for your purrs and prayers!

Mancat Monday

Hey, everyone, please keep my best buddy, Angel, in your thoughts and purrs today. In a few hours, Mom is driving him and his mom to the vet where he will be having his toofies cleaned today.

Easy Like Sunday Morning

This is Laila's latest Costco box. For some reason she has tired of it rather quickly, so Mom turned it upside down and it's now a cave...a mancave! What better place to spend a cold, rainy dreary Sunday, right?

Did you know today is National Straw Hat Day?

We know you all have seen these pictures before, but, as hard as we try, we just can't seem to improve on them.

Laila in Hiding

Yesterday Laila was suppose to go to the V-E-T for her annual checkup. Before Mom could grab her, she went under the couch for her morning nap. She got her out with an open can of tuna but when Mom went to pick her up, she ran back under the couch. Here I am trying to coax her out but Laila was having nothing doing with it! Mom has rescheduled her for tomorrow and will grab her before she goes under the couch for her morning nap. She's also worried she may be too big to fit in our largest carrier. She's a big one! Keep your paws crossed for us!

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to all the Moms out there! We really love and appreciate our mom because she loves us so much and takes such good care of us.

The itteh bitteh babeh in this picture is our mom being held by her mom a gazillion trillion years ago. Her mom is up in heaven now and misses her so much

Sister Saturday

Mom was at the store the other day and they had a new crop of luscious wheat grass. Normally it sells for $3.29 and it was on sale for $1.99. That's the only time it goes in her basket. I, Minchie, don't care for it, but...

...Laila immediately starts grazing on it. For a kitty who is deathly afraid of green Christmas trees she loves this greenery. In fact, when she is done with it and it starts dying, it's in the shape of a Christmas tree. Go figure!

Friday Flashback

This Friday Flashback goes back to August 7, 2007.

She just loves her big, bright crinkle ball. For a time it was almost as big as her! Lilly has taken a noticable turn towards her new little bratty sister. I rarely hear growls, hisses and spits spewing from her anymore. Either Laila is starting to grow up a bit or Lilly has finally had the last word on the subject! Before you know it they will be sleeping together and bathing each other...I hope!
