At the open house yesterday Mom was talking to her friend and volunteer at Buddy, Evie. Evie told her about Brutus, a 2 year old boy that had to be given back to Buddy because his daddy got transferred to South America and can't take him. Because there was so many people in and out he was very scairt and hid behind his way cool colorful cat bed. Mom is going to go back later in the week to meet him one on one and see if he may like to live with me. He didn't live with any other kitties but did have human kids he loved to play with. Mom's main concern is that he gets along with other kitties. He sort of looks like me only where I'm gray, he's black. And he has a pink nose and Momma loves pink noses! We'll see!

Brutus seems like a fine fellow!! It will be nice for your mom to get to know him when things are a little more quiet!

Brutus looks just right. I would be scared too if I were him! He looks like good brother material!
ReplyDeleteBrutus looks like a wonderful kitty boy. Our Mommy hates to see kitties sitting behind bars :(
ReplyDeletePlease keep us posted on how the one-to-one meeting goes!
Poor Brutus, having to be left behind like that. We hope that he gets along with other kitties so he can join your family!
ReplyDeleteOoh! A boy kitty! We've never had one of those before!
ReplyDeleteBrutus is very handsome! My Mommie says the saddest thing at the shelter is seeing the adult cats who are surrendered. They are always so sad and confused and scairt.
ReplyDeleteOh, poor Brutus. He does look very sad. And he truly is a handsome fellow. I just know he'll find a great home. It's so nice of your mom to go and see him.
ReplyDeleteI hate to see surrendered animals, but at least this fellow is safe and not thrown onto the street or sent to a kill shelter. I hope Brutus comes to live with you Laila. Poor baby must be so confused. And he's a good age for you, too.
ReplyDeleteA BOY! Really? Mommy thinks he is VERY handsome! Poor guy, that's what happens way to often, even when we have to go to the vets and stay over night we get scared because in a blink of an eye our safe world changed. We hope you get a brother, Laila=^Y^=Ty & the Boyz, & Auntie Holly
ReplyDeleteHi Brutus! You would be the perfect fit and wouldn't a brother be great, Laila?
ReplyDeleteBrutus would be very lucky if your person decided to adopt him as your friend. I hope it works out.
ReplyDeleteAwwww...he seems like a cute kitty. No wonder he is nervous. It would be lovely if he could come to live with you.
ReplyDeleteThank you for admiring my gorgeous floofiness on my blog by the way! Your human is welcome to come over and snorgle my floofy tum any time!
