Today's flashback is from August 2007 when Laila was a three month old kitten.
MEET LAILA'S NEW PLAYMATE
No matter where I put this stuffed animal (a Himalayan that looked just like Angel Cerise) Laila can't resist dragging it down on the ground and playing with it. I finally just gave in and am letting her have it. I have thousands of stuffed cats and this is the one she likes best.
Here they are battling on top of the cat tree.
Time out. I really think she thinks this is a little sister she can beat up on. It's so funny to watch! Guess I'll have to find another one for me now.
We hope all of our American CB friends have a very Happy Thanksgiving. We are so thankful for your friendship over the years and we are also thankful for the many new friends we have met this year.
It's been bitter cold here in ChiTown so we have the thick fleece blankie on the ham-mick that stays on the bed. Feel free to join us but you will have to bring your own blankies.
Yesterday Mom's sister came over after being out with Mom most of the day.
Mom was shocked that I totally ignored her and only wanted my auntie's lap to lay on. I never, never ever do this with people who come over, and she hadn't been here in quite awhile.
Last night Mom went downstairs to drop off Angel's prescription food she picked up for him at the vet and his Mom said she totally forgot his birthday was last Friday. Can you believe he is 17 years young! He's in great shape for being a senior kitty.
Keeping the recliner nice and warm for Mom when we watch "Dancing With the Stars" tonight. Mom's all time favorite, Maksim "Maks", will be on as a guest judge.
Today's flashback is from August 2007. Videos of one of the ferals, Roomba, Mom fed at her work.
NEW ROOMBA VIDEOS
After Roomba is finished with his "roly poly" he jumps up and leads me to the way to the front door where his food and water bowl is. If I'm not right behind him, he stops and, through his body language, tells me to keep walking and FEED ME!!!
Silly Roomba always does his "roly poly" for me when I am walking to the front door of the office.
I'm thankful for this little television we have next to Mom's bed. Mom has gotten into the bad habit of not being able to fall asleep without it being on.Love snuggling up next to her watching with her.
Sorry, no tummy shot today. It's too cold this morning (20F/-7C). Need to spend the day keeping tummies warm.We also got our first measurable snow yesterday. About a half an inch.BRRRR!
Please, please, please keep our good friend Tucker in your purrs and prayers. He accidentally escaped from his house last Thursday. Get home now, Tucker. We are so worried about you.
We would like to thank all the brave men and women who have served in the military protecting us and our freedom over the years. And a special thank you for those currently serving in these very troubling times. Without your unselfish bravery, we would not be able to enjoy the freedom our country affords us.
Well, it's that time of year again. Mom is abandoning us this weekend for her annual fall scrapbooking retreat. She leaves this morning and won't be back until Sunday night. But Angel's mom will be taking care of so we don't starve or die from neglect.
This is the gorgeous house she stays in all weekend.
We hope everyone has a great weekend and we'll be back blogging on Monday!
This baggie of homegrown catnip was in the package we received from Tucker, Benny and Sadie when they sent us the Captain America shirt. Thank you guys!
I'm already starting to get a nip high.
This is some serious business, Mom.
nom...nom...nom...
Holy carp! This is some good stuff!
It has left me powerless.
Our sweet friend, Ginger Jasper ran off to the Bridge yesterday. We are so sorry for his mum and dad's loss and send them lots of comforting purrs. We will miss you! Run free, sweet GJ.
You will notice this is not a Costco box. This is the box our stinky goodness comes in and I love squeezing my body into them. As long as I am touching a box, I am in heaven!
