It's hard to believe this cute "little" girl was once a tiny little feral kitten running around an apartment complex until caught by The Buddy Foundation.Sadly, she was the only one of her siblings caught. With a lot of patience and work, she adapted to the good life indoors.
Laila has her eye on that baggie overflowing with mousies. Calle, Halle, Sukki, Mommy and Daddy Cat also sent duplicates of what you see here for Angel! How so sweet of them to think of him! Mom hasn't gone downstairs to give them to him yet but will take pictures when she does. Thank you so much for thinking of us at Christmas. You are so sweet to think of us at Christmas.
Remember JoJo and Sammythat Mom cat sits for in our building? Well, their daddy is going to Hawaii on vacation tomorrow and she will be taking care of them for 12 days, so you will be seeing some pictures of them in the days to come.
Holy carp! The box was stuffed with all kinds of goodies!!!
We sniffed and sniffed for quite some time all the interesting smells that came with it. In fact, at one point, we started smacking each other around because we didn't want to share all the great toys and treats with each other.
Mom even got a present! From Penelope and Kozmo's mom. A calendar of her cat paintings! Mom is so excited because this will be the calendar she keeps on our frig and will be able to see it every day! Thank you so much for all the pawsome goodies and most of all we are thankful for the wonderful new friends we have made!
Laila is very thankful that Mom doesn't put up our Christmas tree anymore because she is terrified of it.Mom says Laila is more important to her than any tree. Plus, Mom just knows that I, Minchie, would climb it!
Angel's mom had to go out of town for business two days this week so our mom went down to feed him twice a day. Mom was trying to get him to play last night before she fed him but would have nothing to do with playtime. In desperation he turned on his lasers full blast to show her the way into the kitchen to get the food in his bowls stat!
This is how we'd like to be spending this Easy Sunday (minus watching that man on tv) but it's another day Mom is abandoning us. She's been putting tons of miles on the metal monster this weekend, but that's okay, as long as we aren't in it in the PTU on the way to the vet!
No wonder they call this a Prisoner Transport Unit!
Last Saturday Mom took Angel and his mom (who is a person with a disability) to the vet as his asthma was acting up a bit. Dr. Mindy took a picture of his lungs and they were filled with fluid so he got stabbed with a steroid that works real fast in eliminating the fluid. Mom will take him back tomorrow (while his mom works) for another stabbing of steroids that is longer acting. We are keeping our paws crossed this helps, as it has in the past.
This looks like a good spot for Laila to spend Easy Sunday today. Mom was gone most of the day yesterday and will be gone again a good part of today so being Easy will help us pass the time until she gets home.
"If you go to a CFA cat show, you will see the judges doing things to get the cat's undivided attention, with his or her ears perked up as high as possible on the cat's head. This is because one of the most defining points of a Turkish Angora is the ears. According to the Breed Standard, the ears are "large, wide at the base, pointed and tufted. Set closely together, high on the head, vertical and erect."
