Mancat Monday

Laila and I are sooooooo happy Mom is back with us now that she's finished taking care of Lady, Gizmo and Sushimi! We spent most of the day yesterday all curled up on the blankie on her lap on the recliner. Our favorite place to be! Life is good!

Mom will be back home with us for good mid-morning! We can't wait! But then she's off again to attend the wedding of her former boss's daughter and won't be back until late. Okay, Mom, this has got to stop! We are holding you captive Sunday!

Flashback Friday

We've never done a Flashback Friday before so we have picked one from July of 2007. Mom had only had Laila 12 days when this video was taken.

Laila really thinks the feathers at the end of DaBird is a real bird that she has caught. It's so funny, when she catches it and has it in her mouth, she starts growling for a few seconds then walks proudly away with her prey. Thanks to David at http://www.coolcybercats.com/ for selling this in his ebay store and watching his videos of his furries catching their prey.

Thankful Thursday

Cousin Gizmo is very thankful that Mom saved him from being coyote food (she tells him that all the time) when she rescued him from behind her building at work with his two brothers back in May of 2003.

Gizmo today. He's like velcro when Mom is over at his house like she is this week.

Meet the cousins

Mom has been staying at our cousin's house this week while their beans are out of town. Meet (from left to right) Lady, Gizmo and Sushimi.

Lady never lays on her bed so Gizmo and Sushimi have taken it over. These two are making quite the nuisances of themselves screaming at Mom to give them treats. Not too spoiled!

Mancat Monday

Minchie uses his cat tree so much and with such gusto that areas of it are getting pretty worn. Good thing it's nice and sturdy as it really rocks while he's sharpening.

Not a happy camper!

Starting today Mom will be dog(Lady)/cat(Gizmo and Sushimi)/house sitting for her sister while they are down in New Orleans on a mission trip for a week. She will be coming home for 6-8 hours every day to tend to our every whim, but it's just not the same. As long as our needs don't suffer I guess we're okay with this.

Friends Friday

This picture was taken of Angel when he was still here. He's soaking up the warmth from the sun on the balcony through the sliding door. He's doing great in his house with his mommie. He's always very happy to see our mom when she goes down to visit. He's usually laying on his big comfy bed like a King.

Why, it's a cute mousie wand toy that Mom got at a recent cat show. It really jumps around a lot and it's so much fun to play with. Thank you, Mom!

Mischievous Mancat Monday

Minchie just loves to jump up on top of the bookcase. Sometimes he jumps from there to the back of the recliner when Mom is sitting in it and scares the poopies out of her.

Then he's really in trouble when he starts chewing on the fake plant leaves. Mom doesn't know he's up there until she hears the chewing. He's quite a handful at times!

Easy like Sunday morning

This is how we are going to be spending this cold, blustery and rainy Sunday. Later dudes!

Special hi to Dad

Hi Dad! Mom said you and she have been emailing each other back and forth this week. She said you are back in the USA. As you can see from our blog, I still have a wonderful forever home here but I still miss you at times for that manly influence. You are more than welcome to stop by for a visit sometime while you are still in the area. Love ya Pops!

Mom says I make an excellent paper weight for the papers on the floor. All 14.7 pounds of me!

Laila's vet visit

Here I am stuffed in the dreaded PTU. I was in there before I knew what happened! Mom is really good at that.

Maybe if I just lay here with my furrocious fangs out everyone will leave me alone.

Better yet, I'll just hide in this corner. Surely no one can see me now!

That sneaky Dr. Jen found me! I guess this won't be so bad after all. She is so sweet and nice to me.

Oh oh! I gained a pound in a year! I'm up to 14.7 pounds! Mom has decided to cut way back on the treats and nummies but I will continue on the light dry food Angel was on and that I got use to eating. Mom thinks that extra weight will come off with no problem because since Angel went home, Minchie and I are much more active in our chasing each other. My stomatitis/gingivitis is acting up a bit so I am on oral antibiotics for a week.

Mancat Monday Guest

One day last week Mom went down to visit with Angel. He is very happy to see her. When his mom isn't home he acts like this. But when she is home, he is more reserved. It has always been like that.

Yesterday Mom went to an early dinner at Angel's house. This is his comfy bed. He didn't come out to visit until a few hours later. That bed is so comfy! Much softer and cushier than ours.

Easy like Sunday morning

I'm gonna rest here and keep the recliner warm for Mom for later when we watch the Oscars tonight.

Laundry day

Not sure if the laundry is gonna get done today. I'm so sleepy.

Maybe we'll try again tomorrow.

Frootbat Friday

One thing us Turkish Angoras are known for is our froot bat ears. Mine don't miss much! Here I am stuck like glue to Mom on my blankie on top of her on the recliner. My favorite place to be!

Hi Mama Peggy

Mommy is in the shower so I thought I would jump on the computer and say hello and thank you so much for taking such good care of us when Mommy and Daddy were gallivanting in Oahu. I loved our time together. Too bad Sammy is such a scareddy cat - she missed out on your hugs and kisses.

Speaking of Angel, he's slowly readjusting to his house. He does walk around making these strange noises his mommy said. Mom has to stop down there today to pick up something and will visit with him awhile.

Mom is missing her little orange boy very much. We are just confused and don't know what's going on. But his mom is very happy to have him back and in time he will adjust back into his old routine. We sure had fun with him here with us the past year.
