Thankful Thursday

I am so thankful for these two very handsome mancat cousins of mine.  Sam and Henry live in Portland, OR and seem to love my Christmas card I sent them.

 

Our New Blankie

We hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!  We sure did!  Mom's nephew's wife made this adorable blankie for us.  It sure will keep us both nice and cozy warm when we sit in our recliner watching tv.

Mom is Missing Our Tree

This is the Christmas tree I was so terrified of back in 2007 that Mom took it all down before Christmas so I would come out of hiding.

Mom gave it to Angel's mom to take to her work and this is how it is decorated this year.  It is located at the Illinois Department of Transportation Local Roads.  We wonder if we can take an exemption for it's value on our state incomes taxes.  MOL!

All Worn Out

Every night Mom plays with me and my feather toy until I drop from sheer exhaustion.  It's great exercise for me and hopefully I can drop a few pounds.  I always had to sit on the sidelines while Angel Minchie always hogged the playtime.  It reminds her of my kitten days.

Remember our cousins, Sam and Henry (brothers from same litter), who live in Portland, OR?  We thought it was pretty funny that their Catdad called them "demon seeds" on his Instagram account.

FORMERLY FERAL FELINES

FEELING FRIENDLY FRIDAY 

Mom, go away! We are having an important private meeting.

National Feral Cat Day

For many years Mom fed and provided shelter to the feral cats that hung around her office building.

This little trio of kittens were rescued by Mom and her boss in 2003 in the back lot of the office. The little gray one ended up being our cousin, Angel Gizmo, who lived with Mom's sister.

Angel Gizmo preferred Christmas trees to outside trees after his rescue.

These are just a few of the many ferals that hung around or visited over the years. The building was sold the summer of 2009 so the ferals have gone elsewhere. Mom drives down that street often and still looks for her buddies but has never seen one. 

National Feral Cat Day was launched in 2001 by Alley Cat Allies, the national advocate for feral and stray cats and a recognized authority on Trap‐Neuter‐Return. Check out their site for information on lots of ways you can help feral cats!

TOESIES TOOSDAY 

These are mine toesies. These are some of the things I use them for:

• Digging to China in the litter box
• Gently patting Mom's face in the morning to get her up to feeds me
• Holding them out for Mom so she can trim the nails (with the promise of treats afterwards)
• Boxing with Laila Ali in the morning while we wait for breakfast to be served
• Playing with mine toys
• Getting Mom's attention
• Getting to the top of the cat tree in split second time
• Making biscuits on Mom's tummy
• Giving kitty massages to my sweet Turkish Princess Patches
