Big thunder, lightening and rain storm last evening. Laila doesn't seem to be bothered by them. She actually was sitting by the sliding glass door watching all the lightening and rain hitting the glass. But open a plastic bag and she runs. Go figure!
Just like Bailey. We brought her in from the Florida room when the storm started but she insisted on going back out. Bonnie just came up from the basement.
ReplyDeleteMy Leo has the same reaction to plastic bags. He always has. I wonder if when he was a kitten he was tossed out in a bag. I shudder at the thought. Laila is so cute. I hope she and Lilly get to be great friends. Is that video at the bottom of your blog of Cerise? I watched that last night and got the biggest kick out of her jumping around.
ReplyDeleteIn reality, I think every cat I've ever owned has been terrified of the sound of plastic bags. Binky Baby would always pee on them if left out so I was very anal about keeping them out of sight and "quiet". Believe it or not, that isn't a video of Cerise. But that's exactly what she looked like at that age and exactly how nutty she was.
ReplyDeleteOh Peggy! Everyone knows that rain storms stay out side, but that plastic bags...will eat you! Actually, I think it's the sound cats don't like rather than the bag itself. My furkids on the other paw, just love playing with the darn things, so I have to put them up so they don't get caught in one. John
ReplyDeleteWhen I hear the sound of a plastic bag I'm running myself...TO te source of the sound, because that means that Faffie is chewing on one. His favorite hobby, but he actually eats the stuff, so I have to be cautious to keep these things away from him.
ReplyDeleteWeird to hear all these kitties spooked over plastic bags. Thats another thing that makes Bailey crazy. I have to hide them or she will do a little surfing in the middle of the night.
ReplyDeleteHey, Katie, remember Binky surfing on your sleeping bag when you would spend the night? Surfer kitties!
ReplyDeleteI enjoy chewing on plastic bags (and other items) because they are a very tasty snack. For some reason, I get in lots of trouble and all my favorite plastic "treats" get locked up. But none of the brave Corn Cats are afraid of bags.
ReplyDeleteIt's the vacuum cleaner that scares us.
