Would you say this is weird?

I am ashamed to even admit to this, but our Mom saves our furs she combs out of us and keeps it in baggies. This is what she has combed out of me since I was a little baby kitten. I'm 9 months old, so this is 9 months worth. For a long time she would comb me and no furs would come out so she thought, "Hey, this is great! Finally a long haired kitty that doesn't shed." Hahahahaha! She's eating those words now! Once she counted 20 bags full of Cerise's furs but finally got rid of them and just kept one. She has fur baggies from all of us, even our buddy Angel, who she cat sits for who lives by us. Do any of your Moms exhibit this weird practise?

  1. My Bean collect weird things, but I do have to say, she does not hang on to my shed hair (except for the ones that have mixed with the dust bunnies under the bed). No, keeping them in plastic baggies is just plain weirdness.

  2. Not here. Gemini did not shed for about her first year. She doesn't shed much now, but she does loose fur, which requires brushing or she gets quite bad furballs.

  3. My furs do not really shed, so there is nothing to collect. Maybe your mom can knit a catfur sweater!

  5. Our mom lets our fur fall on the floor then the big noisy sucking monster eats it. Someone please tell her that there is a LOT of fur on the floor for the big noisy sucking monster to eat right now.

  8. I've heard of people doing stuff like that. My mamma jokes that she could make a new cat out of my shedding.. maybe thats what your mom is going to do..

  9. Nope, we've got to say that there is no fur collecting going on here - apart from the fur that is already on the floor waiting for the big sucking monster to work it's magic. We encourage her to only let this monster loose when we can escape outside, so no furs will get sucked up before Saturday.

A good general rule regarding collecting beans is, does the fur collecting keep your Mom from feeding you kitties properly and on time? If not, then chill out and nap on,

  10. maybe your mom could learn to spin and make a beautiful shawl out of your furs :) (after all, they make angora yarn out of rabbit fur, so why not make yarn out of cat fur)
