The Mom here. This has been the morning from hell! First it started out with Laila freaking out for no reason on the kitchen counter and scratching up my right arm as she's hell bent on getting off.
Then as I was getting ready to help them with the blog Minchie decides he wants to walk over the keyboard onto my lap, as usual. Well, something happens and he gets freaked and is doing everything possible to get off me quick and with that he gets me on my left arm/hand and a good puncture wound on the right, not far from Laila's scratches earlier. I'm bleeding like a stuck pig and I'm screaming because it hurts like you know what. Run into the bathroom to start washing all the wounds out when all of a sudden an excruciating pain is coming from my right leg. Angel is down there biting me and attacking me! Well, I really go insane now and Minchie was right there and he and Angel start this horrible fighting and I'm trying to get them off each other, blood dripping everywhere. They chased each other all over fighting like this for a few minutes then Angel hightailed it under the couch.
Things are not good here right now. There are orange tuffs of fur all over. Glad I don't work today so I can keep an eye on things. Also have to keep a very close eye on the bite marks. I've already had to go to the ER because of a cat bite years ago.

At this point, not sure if Angel is going to get to stay here. We'll just see how it goes. And...no more Minchie on the computer desk and my lap while on the computer!
Oh no! We hope your scratches and bites heal well and don't get infected. We wonder whatever could have spooked them all like that. They all seemed to be getting on well, particularly Minchie and Angel.
ReplyDeleteOh no, Mom Peggy! What happened? Do you think there may have been another creature lurking around that freaked out the kitties?
ReplyDeleteI hope your injuries heal very quickly with no infections and that the kitties calm back down. This is not the Laila and Minchie we know and love.
What is going on in the CB lately with all of the kitty attacks?
We missed who Angel is, we will have to check the old posts to try and figure that out.
ReplyDeleteMaybe some feliway would help calm things down?
Goodness gracious! We hope that the injuries heal soon and that everyone can calm down.
ReplyDeleteNot a good start to the Friday, our momma says.
Charlemagne and Tamar
Whoa! What the heck happened to set everybuddy off??? We thought Angel and Minchie were getting along well so for them to start going at it...something must have happened.
ReplyDeleteWe hope your scratches and bites heal quickly! And we hope things settle down! We would be sad if Angel had to leave prematurely...
That's horrible! Poor you! The hurt AND the cats fighting! Something really strange must have been going on to make them that aggressive and crazy. We hope you find the reason, that would surely be comforting. We are sending very strong healing purrs to all of you. Watch those wounds good!

Oh goodness! Those scratches look painful! We are sending lots and lots of healing vibes and comforting vibes to all involved. We hope it you heal quickly and the kitties settle very soon!
ReplyDeleteOh noes! That sure is a big scratch! I think probably the confusion fed the other cats until all were upset and acting not like themselves.
ReplyDeleteI hope you heal up fast, and Laila and Minchie and Angel are able to get calm again quickly.
Something sure is in the air! Last night KeeKee our 15 year old decided to jump on Tinker, he screamed and Setzer went running in to save his pal Tink.....fur all over but thank goodness nails were just trimmed earlier....Mom must have ESP! We hope everything calms down over there Auntie Peggy and your arm heals OK=^Y^=the Cat Street Boyz and Mom

Oouch! That looks nasty. We hope it heals quickly.
ReplyDeleteWe were a little crazy here this morning with Sniffie chasing Tamir. Maybe something is in the air??
Sniffie and the Florida Furkids
Oh no! That looks terrible! Sounds like all the kitties in your house woke up on the wrong side of the bed. Maybe they should all go back to sleep and start the day over! I hope your arms feels better soon!!
ReplyDeleteIf you lived in California, I would say EARTHQUAKE! Maybe you had a new smell on you? Hope you heal without problems, some of those scratches and bites can get badly infected.
ReplyDeleteOUCH! That looks really painful. Cuddly Minchie, how could you do that to your mum? Wonder what happened to freak them all out? Hope the arm heals fast!
ReplyDeleteOh noes! Something must have freaked all the kitties out. That was not like themselves.
ReplyDeleteHope your arm gets better, mom.
We have given you an award. You can collect it from our blog.
ReplyDeleteHoly cow, Peggy! That's one doozy of a scratch there and sounds like all three cats went off the deep end today. Last time any of mine did something that bad was when two cats were fighting on my back patio. I hope you don't get an infection and hope that the felines will be back to their normal sweet, loving selves tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteOh no, we wonder why all the kitties went nutso this morning. We hope that you feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteKeep an eye on those scratches and bites. They can be dangerous. Sorry not much comfort here, but I just had a course of anti-biotics about a year ago for a bite (caused by stepping on his tail, so you can't blame him!)
ReplyDeleteOuch!! and more ouch!! We hope that all things get better there! My mom says it hurts just to see a photo!
ReplyDeleteHi Peggy, we were thinking of you over here and hoping that the furry ones have settled. Those scratches and bites will take some time to heal up, but we hope you will feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteSoft purrs, Siena & Chilli
Don't know what could have happened to spook the kitties, but we're sending our best purring and healing vibes to all of you. That seemed to come from out of the blue. We hope you heal up fast Mom Peggy, and that you work out how to help the kitties to live harmoniouly together,

this sounds just like two of our cats (actually mother and daughter) they do this almost every if not every other nite. about once a week it gets heated and scare me! then a few minutes later there they are laying with each other and grooming.
