Watchful Eye
I'm watching Angel's mom pour his prescription food into his food container. Mom goes and picks it up for him at the vet when he runs out because his mom doesn't drive. My job is to sit here and eat any of the morsels that fall on the floor. Hey, someone has to do it! Mom keeps forgetting to take her camera when she goes downstairs to visit Angel to show you how nice and trim he's getting.

Mancat Monday
The other night I was on the recliner with Mom watching "America's Cutest Cat" on Animal Planet. After about five minutes, I jumped down off Mom's lap and moved to the coffee table to get a better view. And this is where I stayed for the whole show. Mom was surprised I was so intense in watching all the kitty videos.

Easy Like Sunday Morning
This is where we will be spending the day after Christmas. We are waiting for Mom to join us. She was gone from Friday afternoon until last night and she promises uninterrupted snuggle time with us today to make up for it.
Mom wrote this on her car Friday night at her sister's, where she spent all that time away from us. We had a white Christmas!
We hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!

Thankful Thursday - Secret Paw
This year our Secret Paw was our neighbors up to the north of us, Ducky and Derby .
We can most definitely smell the mancatliness of these two ginger boys on the box.
We love the Temptations treats (our favorites!), the wand toy (which is our current favorite toy) the catnip balls (boy, can those balls bounce HIGH!) and colorful turkey feathers (Laila's favorite).
Laila is giving me the evil eye to try to keep me away from her turkey feathers. All I care about is the plastic wrap. I have a real fetish for it.
Thank you so much, Ducky and Derby, for our wonderful presents! They will keep us very busy during the cold winter months.

What's this Wednesday
Mom was rooting around in the storage locker last week and brought in a bag with some cat beds our sisters-before-us used and this wacky looking thing was in the bag. We were curious, naturally, but even after she showed us how to play with it, we just walked away. Sprinkling it with catnip didn't even make it more desirable. Got to give The Mom credit though, for looking for toys to amuse us.

So, where is our little tree?
Remember the little tree that Mom brought home and Laila was so terrified of? You are probably wondering what she did with it.
It now sits outside on our balcony. As long as it's out there, Laila isn't afraid. Go figure!
That package we are snoopervising is our Secret Paw from Derby and Ducky that Mom says we can open today or tomorrow. We are hoping they and their mom are doing okay since their Grampie went to heaven last Friday.

Friday Flashback
This flashback goes back to July 27, 2007
What a smart little kitten
What a smart little kitten
It's only taken a few days for Laila to learn what "treat time" is. She runs to the foyer waiting. She even recognises the treat bag! Lilly has her "spot" and this morning Laila got a good smack when she invaded Lilly's territory. Laila is slowly learning where her "spot" is to be.
Tomorrow is her first visit to our vet. They are all anxiously awaiting the new arrival!

Faster than a speeding bullet
Last night during my nightly "night crazies" around 9:30, I was zooming all around at top speeds and as I was winding down, running across the kitchen counter top, stove and on up to the top of the frig, all of a sudden Mom heard a strange noise. Well, in my crazies, as I was running past the coffee pot, I "accidentally" turned it on and it started making this morning's coffee! Mom really couldn't get mad at me because she thought it was pretty funny. Never a dull moment when there is a "Turk" in the house!

Our calendar came!
We are so excited to have our 2011 Cat Blogosphere calendar! If you haven't ordered yours yet, be sure to! Go here to order yours. You won't regret it. It's beautiful!
We found our picture on the February page, the month of Mom's birthday! Sweet Praline is on there with us and that's the month of her mom's birthday too! What we really like about this year's calendar is everyone's name is on their picture so we know for sure who everyone is.
Again, a huge thank you to Ann of Zoolatry for putting this all together for us!

Thankful Thursday
Mom brought home some yummy cat grass from the store last week. It was the first time we ever saw it. Minchie sniffed it but had no desire to nom on it, which surprised Mom as he loves to nom on her fake plants.
Now, being that Laila is terrified of the Christmas tree, Mom thought she'd also be terrified of the cat grass. But no! She was very curious.

Formerly Feral Friday
No greater love does a Mom have than taking down her beautiful Christmas tree two years ago a week after it went up and giving the tree, lights and garland away...
...because her sweet, baby feral kitten, Laila, was terrified of it and wouldn't go into any room it could be seen from. Well, this year she decided to try a little 2 1/2 foot tree. Mom was in the recliner when Laila jumped up next to her. Laila soon spotted the tree and within a minute tore out of the room, terrified. So, the next morning Mom took the tree away. She carried Laila, freaking out all the way, to the desk to show her the tree was gone. Then put her on the floor where Laila ran around looking all over to see what the tree had gone to. Satisfied that it was gone, she was a happy little girl once again. Now Mom is stuck with dozens and dozens of cat ornaments.
