Friends Friday - Fafnir (RIP)

Mom got an email from one of our long time internet friends that goes back to 1999 that our buddy, Fafnir, ran off to the bridge last month.  His mom is just heartbroken and so are we.  This handsome Norwegian Forest Cat lived in The Netherlands. 

Faffie in all is floofy glory.

Faffie only spoke Dutch, so his mom had to translate for us.

This is Snuitje, Fafnir's sister, who ran off to the bridge 5 months earlier.  We know their mom is so lonely without them.  Rest in peace, sweet ones.  You will always be loved but never forgotten.

 The other day Mom went to Michael's to buy me a fresh pack of my favorite toy, white turkey feathers.

 I love sniffing out the first fresh one out of the package.

All Minchie cares about is the plastic package they come in.

Whisker Hump Wednesday

We thought we'd show off our buddy, Angel's, whisker humps today.  For the past two weeks, Mom has been going downstairs to his house to feed him at 6am and 4pm to help his mom who is having bad knee pain and can't bend down to put down his food or scoop his litter box.  He knows when Mom goes down and is always waiting by the door for her.  Please keep his mom in your purrs as she uses a walker to get around and has been using her motorized scooter to get to work.

Trouble on Tuesday

Mom heard all kinds of racket going on one day.  She got up to see which one of us was the culprit.  This is what she found.  The shopping bag full of our Christmas presents was broke and the toys spread all over the floor.  And who do you think was the culprit?

Can those ears of Laila and Lilly(RIP) get any more flat?  Lilly was a little upset that Laila wouldn't get off the cat tree so she could lay down.  17 year old Lilly was not well at this point and had little patience for a bratty little sister.

BATH TIME!

This is now my new favorite place to hang out. I spent a lot of time here with Mom Sunday while we were nursing her cold (remember, flashback). She even covers me up with the blankie so I stay nice and snuggly warm.

Shadows on Thursday

 This Groundhog Day Minchie saw his shadow.

As did Punxsutawney Phil.

 6 more weeks of winter.  We're still waiting for winter to arrive here in Chicago!  A year ago today was our blizzard.

 We were trapped in our building!
