Minchie loves sun puddles.  We face east so he only has the morning hours to grab them.

Whenever one of Mom's kitties runs off to 

the Bridge, she scrapbooks a memorial photo album of them.

Binky Baby, who ran off to the Bridge March 5, 2005, was a black kitty so it made sense to have a black coverset for hers.

 

This is the first page of the album.  This is the little song Mom would sing to her all the time, and still does.

Thankful Thursday

We are SO thankful to Ann of Zoolatry for our beautiful new header!  Mom is still working on getting all the colors right, but wanted to get the graphic up right away.  Thanks again, Ann!!!

Minchie's latest idea of a fun time is to sit on and bat around little piles of papers of Mom's.  Not sure how long this pile will be around.  Probably until he loses interest.

When Angel lived with us, he always had his laser eyes on high beam when the flashy box came out.  He was not a fan of that evil box.

Lilly's fascination with water 

Here she is drinking out of a bucket. How unladylike!

Now she's testing the temperature to make sure it's to her liking.

In the past week two water mains have broken due to the bitter cold and we've had our water shut off to fix the problem. When that happens Mom fills a bucket so that she can use the toilet if she needs to. But Lilly thinks she fills the bucket just for her!

Our blogging has been sporadic lately and we do apologize for that, but life just gets in the way sometimes. We are all fine.  Just Mom has been very busy helping out a lot of people, which she loves doing. So if you don't see a post from us, don't worry!

BRRRR!  They are ice cold and are stuck to the sink!

Mom better make some more of these because the temperature is going up to 75F (24C) today!

Today's flash back features Angel Lilly again and is from January 2008

 It's Been A Long Time

Mom said it's been a long time since Lilly showed any interest in the bathroom sink. Being the good sister I am, I let her enjoy a few minutes. She loves to drink the water right from the faucet, unlike me, who is scairt of it. I much prefer to lick the remnants off the bowl.

As you can see, Lilly is way too big to fit in the sink like I can.

Minchie loves laying on the fleece side of Mom's sweatshirts.  This one he's getting all furred up for St. Patrick's Day.

Mom went down to visit Angel and his mom over the weekend.  He was guarding his recliner so Mom didn't sit on it.  He said to say hi to everyone!

See how well I blend into our recliner? Mom says she bought it with me in mind. I rarely lay here much preferring the matching couch. This is one of Laila's favorite spots when Mom is here watching tv.

 Fund Raiser for Honey P. Sunshine

From Honey P. Sunshine’s mom, “In early October 2014 I discovered a tumor on Honey’s left front paw.  This tumor turned out to be a fibro sarcoma, cancer.  Honey had an operation that removed the tumor and one toe and her dew claw.  Because the tumor butted up against her paw pad, radiation and chemotherapy were required after her operation.  The reason the radiation and chemo were required is that they could not get a clear enough margin around the tumor on the side of the tumor that butted up against the paw pad.  They could not cut into the paw pad, because if that was done she would not use her foot.

In November Honey had 16 radiation treatments which required a trip to the vets every day of the week except Saturday and Sunday till all 16 treatments were done.

Starting in December until now, we had a chemo treatment one week then a follow up blood test on the off week for a total of 6 chemo treatments and 6 CBC blood panels, for 12 weeks, that’s the last 3 months.”
