Mancat Monday

Well, you can see Minchie's torn ACL is not stopping him from going to the top of the cat tree.  He's barely limping and jumping to most of his usual spots.  He goes back to the vet next week for a follow up.

Going to be a hot and humid one today so we are going to lay low, stay cool and enjoy the air conditioning.

News Flash

There have been emails going back and forth between Mom and Angel's Mom that he may be coming to spend a week with us next month while she goes to a work convention.  We are getting so excited!

Mom did a double take when she walked by and saw me in this cat bed.  She's never ever seen me in it.  I was a good girl and let her run to get the flashy box.  My sister, Angel Lilly, loved to sleep in it too.

GOOD HIDING SPOT

I was hiding from mom and for some reason she found me right away. Boy, she is good! 

Minchie update:  He's doing very well.  Getting back to his normal self. We have enjoyed the peace and quiet but missed it really. Mom hasn't had to give him any pain meds in 24 hours and seems to be fine.  Limp is much better.  He hasn't even gone near the cat tree.  Thanks to all for your concern and purrs and prayers.

International Box Day

We love this day because we are big lovers of boxes.

 

 No box is too small for Laila.

 No box too big.

 Laila is the Queen of the boxes at our house and will defend them to the end.

 Minchie finds this kind of box safe from Laila's wrath.

When Angel lived with us, he loved the boxes too.

Minchie's Day

 Minchie has always loved sleeping in his carrier.

 So while he's recouping from his torn ACL, he's pretty much been hanging out there.

 He does come out to eat, use the litter box, lay on Mom's lap and wake her up at dark o'clock for breakfast.

Mom stopped leaving his crunchies down on the floor because I was grazing and I'm not suppose to be eating what he eats.

Minchie Update

For those of you not on Facebook,  Minchie tore the ACL in his left back knee. For now pain meds for 5 days and feline joint gel every day. Will re-evaluate after 2 weeks. Conservative treatments for now. Foot OK. They trimmed his nails and back one looks fine now.  He's still limping.  They don't recommend surgery for him as he's 10 years old so we're hoping we can keep him comfortable.  They also want us to discourage him from jumping.  Hahaha!  How do you keep a very active Turkish Angora from doing that when that is one thing they are known for.

Mancat Monday

Well, guess where I'm going today?  To the V-E-T!  See the toe on the right with the nail sticking out?  Well, I somehow injured myself last night jumping down from the back of the recliner.  I'm limping and that nail just stays like that.  Of course Mom is getting nervous and hoping it's nothing serious.  She doesn't think I'm in pain because I'm not howling and hissing when she touches it.  We are waiting for the office to open to make an appointment.  Wish me luck!

 Mom wants me to stay off my leg as much as possible and knowing how much I love dirty towels from the laundry basket, she set up this little bed on the floor for me.  Now if I can just convince her to move my crunchies bowl in here for me.

Happy Father's Day

Minchie wishes his former daddy a Happy Father's Day.  He had to give Minchie up because he was taking a job outside of the country.

And Mom wishes her daddy (RIP) a Happy Father's Day.

 Our sister, Angel Cerise, had beautiful Meezer colors.  She was a Himalayan, which is a cross between a Persian and Siamese.

The minute Mom dumps the dirty laundry out on the bed, Minchie runs and jumps on it.  Clean, just out of the dryer clothes are of no interest to him.

Today is Hug Your Cat Day.  Well, in our house, we get hugged many times a day.
