Today is a big day in downtown Chicago! It's the annual St. Patrick's Day parade. It steps off at noon and Mom and I will be watching from the warm, dry comfort of our recliner. And would you believe after the parade, snow will be moving in.
This morning the Chicago river will be died green.
Mom has never been to the parade in person. Today they are expecting one million to go down and line up along the route.
We think you'll get the best views of the parade from the comfort of your recliner.
ReplyDeleteLuv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
Such a fun parade! Green is good, snow is not!!!
ReplyDeleteMEOW
ReplyDeleteI told mom about it being on TV so guess she will watch it too. Maybe I will take a peek now and then too.

No, not more snow!!!
Have a great time watching the pretty parade...so much fun!!!

That's pretty cool, but we don't blame your Mom for not going in person. Hanging out with you is way better than with a million people.
ReplyDeleteCool with a green river !
ReplyDeleteWhen my mom-person was in Dublin she wen't home the day before St.Patrick's day.
Bad planning or what ??!!
XOXO
Hope the dye is eco-friendly. Happy early St. Catrick's Day !
ReplyDeleteThat is just so neat! We love those photos. Mumsy has always loved Chicago :-) You guys are l-u-c-k-y! We'd love to see the green river, your photo says it's a real wow thing.
ReplyDeleteHugs!
My human likes the idea of watching a parade from inside! Sounds way more comfortable.
ReplyDeleteYour mom has the right idea watching in your warm house with the two of you and no crowds or lining up. I love the idea of the green river. That is so cool!
ReplyDeleteI think your Mom is super smart to watch the parade from the comforts of her recliner...1 million people is a lot to be around for a parade!
ReplyDeleteIf there is snow on the way, watching from the comfort of home is the best idea.
ReplyDeleteA number of years ago, the mom went to the parade with her friends that live in Chicago. When they wanted to leave, there wasn't an easy way out, so they climbed over the barracades, and walked in the parade (this was towards the end of it). They waved to all the people!
ReplyDeleteThen they went to see the green river.
These were the days when the mom was much more wild and crazy.
ooooooh, will you have any corned beef?!?
ReplyDeletewhy go in person if you have a comfy recliner.. :)
ReplyDeleteI was in Chicago once when the river was green for the parade, love it!!!! You live in such a great city. I have never been to the parade there but would love to go.
