Minchie is just plain worn out from all those smacky paws with Laila yesterday.  Laying in the sun puddles will help to him recharge.

MANCAT MONDAY

 

Are you calling me a clown?

Yesterday Mom was cleaning out the computer desk and way back on the bottom shelf she found very old back issues of Cat Fancy. She was very happy to have found this one dating back to December of 2003 because the feature breed of the month was the Turkish Angora. My ladycat, Baby Patches, and I are this breed.

Some quotes from the article:

• "They are very athletic. They do things that other cats wouldn't think of doing. They're almost like clowns."
• "To me, they're almost the border collie of the cat world. They need to be challenged."
• "Turkish Angoras love to be on shoulders and doors and they can do it in one jump. And they rarely miss."
• Friendly busybodies.
  
  
  One thing the article didn't talk about was how vocal we are. Mom says I have a meow vocabulary that is unending. She can also imitate all of mine so well that people walking down the hallway must think we have two of me! And when you walk into our house, I will sing at the top of my lungs how happy I am that you came to visit me.

Thankful Thursday

Changing the sheets is an all day project for Mom.  Minchie loves to chillax on the comforter on the floor right up next to the heat register.

Toesie Tuesday

Minchie has some serious toehawks going on there.  When Mom clips his nails, it's hard to find them through all that fur.

 We were doing a photo shoot the other day in preps for celebrating our favorite holiday...St. Patrick's Day.

I wasn't too thrilled to be put in this girly shamrock collar, but hey, what a guy won't do for lots of treats, right?

Parade Day in Chicago

 Today is a big day in downtown Chicago! It's the annual St. Patrick's Day parade.  It steps off at noon and Mom and I will be watching from the warm, dry comfort of our recliner.  And would you believe after the parade, snow will be moving in.  

This morning the Chicago river will be died green.

 

Mom has never been to the parade in person.  Today they are expecting one million to go down and line up along the route.

One thing I've learned in my short life here on earth is to be cooperative and let mom do what she wants and soon it will be over then I get lots of lovin' and treats for being such a good girl. I know she would never do anything to hurt me either in these little games she plays with me but if it brings a smile or laugh it's all worth it!

We are finally able to get back on the computer since Mom had her oral surgery Friday morning.  It was more intense than they thought it was going to be so she's been laying low on the recliner and sleeping lots.

Minchie thinking real hard if the recliner is where he wants to spend his Easy Sunday.  Mom won't be home hardly at all today and without her and his blankie it loses it's appeal.
