Today's flashback is from August 2007 and was titled
KITTEN MAGNET
It seems like everytime I sit down at the computer Laila all of a sudden decides she wants my undevided attention. She won't stop pawing at me and mewing until I pick her up. How can I resist my little cutie pie?
Six and a half years later, nothing has changed except instead of being held, she wants me to comb her or give her massages.
It's seldom a paper bag comes into our house, but when it does, Mom lets us play with it. I like hiding from Laila in them and when she walks by, I attack!
Very strange that this picture makes Laila's tail look black instead of grey. That is we think it's her tail!
Here is JoJo, one of the kitties Mom is cat sitting for this week in our building, showing off her toesies, tummy and tail. Mom brought one of Laila's turkey feathers down to play with her.
Going to be doing a lot of this today to stay warm in our Polar Vortex. We are getting very tired of talking about how cold and snowy it's been here. And we're sure you're getting very tired of hearing about it. MOL!
Score! We have found the warm spot on the floor from the heat pipes. This is where we will be spending the next few days while that evil Polar Vortex invades our part of the country yet again.
Minchie is thankful for his kitty condo on bitter cold days like today. Right now it's -2F with a wind chill of -23F.
I'm not coming out until spring!
Remember our neighbors JoJo and Sammy? Well, Mom will be cat sitting for them starting tonight thru Super Bowl Sunday while their daddy goes to Hawaii. He sure picked a good week to be gone because next week we're going to be having some of the coldest weather so far this winter. Wait a minute! It's going to be even colder than it has been? Boohoohoo!
So, Mom, you say you are going to go off and leave me for awhile this morning in preparation for the newest blast of arctic air and snow that is arriving tonight. Well, that's okay because you are taking my buddy Angel's Grandpa for a haircut and grocery shopping.
Minchie waiting and watching for the latest blast of snow to come in a few hours. This does not make The Mom happy.

While Laila is waiting her turn in the wicker cat bed, she thought it would be a good time to clean her paws. Doesn't look like Minchie is in any hurry to vacate.

A lot of mornings Minchie likes to sit in the window and watch the bus pick up Angel's mommy to take her to work. We tried to get a picture of her in the background but he jumped down. Oh, and this was taken before all the snow fell from the sky.

The temps here are finally tollerable and the snow is melting like crazy with all the rain we've had. But we still need to get our easy on and chillax after all we've gone through with the weather since the beginning of the new year.
Plus we're worn out keeping an eye on Mom who has come down with a nasty cold.

Today's flashback is from April 2008 with Angel Lilly and titled
SPRING FEVER
Hey, Lilly! I'm up here!
Laila, is that you up there?
Lilly, here, let me help you up to the top.
I guess Lilly wants to stay put.
Sunday it was in the 60's so Mom opened up all the doors and windows and moved our cat tree over in front of the slider so we could get lots of fresh air. Thanks Mom!
