Construction Update

Well, here is the new section of pipe.  It was an extremely stressful day for us.  The smell of the blow torch was stinking up the house something awful.  Then about ten minutes after Eddie left when he was done, the bedroom started filling up with smoke and Mom was freaking big time!  Eddie was doing something down in the garage with the pipes that set off the smoke.  He kept reassuring us everything was okay.  So we had fans in the windows blowing the smoke outside.

Minchie was so freaked out that he found safety under the dining room table.  Notice that Laila is nowhere to be found in any of these pictures.  She sought refuge under her couch the whole time.  Mom wanted to crawl under there with her.

They say when there is smoke or fire, to stay close to the ground.  Minchie found a great place to wait out the smoke going away.

So, until Eddie comes back next week on Thursday to repair our bedroom wall, Mom taped up all the holes.  In a few days we'll be turning our a/c back on and she didn't want our cool air to escape.

  2. unner the bed is a good place too! but that was in the bedroom where all the noise was, so prolly unner the couch was the bestest place.

  3. That sounds super scary! I'm so glad you're all safe and sound. Smoke is a nasty thing. So is fire. Best to stay clear of it if possible.

  5. This is stressful and definitely for all three of you. Minchie is so cute with his refuge spots. He's very resourceful. Laila hiding under the bed was smart too. Hang in there!

  6. Oh my gosh, how terrible! Glad the stinkiest part is over. We think you should draw something fun on the cardboard to make the wall look more artistic. ;-)

  8. Wow, that sounds terrible. We would have been out of there somehow. But under the bed is a great choice. Good job of taping to the Mom. That looks great. Hope you have a great day.

  16. That smoke would scare the fur right off of us. Blow torches can easily set something on fire. So glad that didn't happen and that you two were smart enough to hide from the smoke. Purrs and hugs, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Josette
