Keeping Warm in ChiTown

Just two days ago our blog read "Keeping Cool in ChiTown".  Today we are trying to keep warm!  It's gonna be 50 degrees colder today than the records that were set Sunday and Monday!  Luckily Mom is doing laundry today so that I can snuggle into the towels to stay nice and toasty.

With record breaking temps the last two days (97F/36C on Sunday, 95F/35 yesterday) we have been staying cool by literally hanging out in the sink a lot.

Happy Memorial Day

A very special thanks to all the servicemen and servicewomen who have and currently do serve our country so bravely to make it safe for us. Our Mom is a product of two WWII veterans. Grampa was a pilot in the Army and Gramma was a WAVE in the Navy and taught radio. They were very brave to volunteer to fight that war.

Easy Like Sunday Morning

Temps suppose to be up close to 100F/38C today so we are going to stay under the bed where it's nice and cool.  Poor Mom has to go into hot Chicago visit her mother-in-law.

 Things Laila is thankful for:

Costco boxes.

Combing her tummy furs.

Cat grass.

Her floofy tail covering her private parts.

Our dear, sweet friend, Parker Pie, is being helped to the Bridge today.  We are going to miss her so much.  We have been friends for a long time and will miss those beautiful eyes of hers.  Fly free, sweet girl.  Many will be waiting to greet you.

Today is a very special day in the Cat Blogosphere. It's the birthday of Mommy ML, who keeps everything running smoothly with all the important information we need to know. She is awesome and does such a great job! We can't begin to tell her how much we appreciate her and all her hard work. Happy Birthday ML!

Tummy, Toesies and Tail

This is one of the silliest pictures Mom has ever taken.  She debated very hard about letting us post it because her legs are so awful ugly (she has shorts on) but we are all good friends here so she said go ahead.  But everyone will be looking at Laila's beautiful floof anyway.

Mancat Monday

Minchie's whole world revolves around laying on his blankie which is on Mom who is on our recliner.  There are many times when he meows up a storm very loudly until she gives in,  sits on the recliner, gets the blankie ready so he can jump on.  But who can resist that sweet face, right?

Easy Like Sunday Morning

It was very hot here yesterday (low 90's) and the same is in store for us today.  Today we're gonna chillax on our cat tree and enjoy the air conditioner keeping our furs cool.  Also a good day to stay away from Chicago with all those NATO protesters.  Praying it's a peaceful day!

Mom's Helper

When Mom pays bills she just throws her pieces of papers that she's gonna throw away or shred on the floors. Then Minchie sorts through them for her looking for the ones that need to be shredded.

Thankful Thursday

Mom placed an order with my sweet lady cat Baby Patches' store and one of the items was this awesome twist 'n treat toy.  Mom puts Temptations in there and I bat it around until the treats slip out then I nom nom nom the treats.  I can play this game for hours.  Mom loves to watch me as I figure out just how much of a spin I have to put on it to get those wonderful noms out.
