Lilly was such a good girl for Mom when she did this. Mom has lots and lots of experience in giving the fluids because she'd done it with Cerise for well over a year before that.

Remember the box Mom got for me at Costco last week so she could take a picture of me for International Box Day last Friday? Well, she put one of my comfy blankies in it and now I have another bed to snooze in. Thanks Mom!

I would like to wish my former Daddy a very Happy Father's Day. It has been a year that you had to give me up for adoption. As you can see, I am still very, very happy in my new forever home.

The last two days have been a whirlwind for Mom so today we are all going to have an Easy Sunday! Yay!

International Box Day

Today is International Box Day for cats all over the world in the Cat Blogosphere. We had no pictures of Minchie in a box so when Mom was at Costco yesterday, she dug through all their bins of boxes and found one just for him. He only stayed in it long enough for Mom to take the picture. He's more into cushie than hard. Me, Laila, likes any surface since the first 6 weeks of my life I roughed it outside. We are looking forward to visiting all our friends and their box pictures today!

Thankful Thursday

We are thankful we have each other.

Two years ago today our sister-who-came-before-us, Cerise, went to the Bridge. Mom had her for 17 1/2 years. Mom still misses her very much.

Being that Angel (former barn cat) and I are former feral kitties, we of course had to immediately check out these flowers Mom bought.

For some reason the railing of our balcony looks bowed in this picture, but it isn't. We are keeping our paws crossed Mom, who does NOT have a green thumb, doesn't kill these flowers before the 4th of July!

One year ago today

A year ago today my sister, Lilly, went to the Bridge. I only knew her for a year and for an old lady of 17 she managed to put up with a crazy little kitten pretty well.

Treat time!


The cushier the better for Lilly. We still miss you sweet girl and think of you often.

Baby Gate mystery solved

He he he! It's because of me that Mom puts the baby gate up sometimes.

I luvs sitting by the open slider looking out and sniffing all the airs outside. Well, one day last summer, Mom had the the blinds closed and I was there looking out between them. All of a sudden she saw me get up and I was walking between the blinds and the screen. Then she noticed no movement of the blinds so Mom was curious as to where I went. She looked over in the corner and then behind the couch. Then she looked outside on the balcony AND THERE I WAS!!! I had worked the screen away from the door in the lower right hand corner and just walked out. What was amazing was that I am terrified of going out on the balcony and Mom was shocked to see me out there. Normally she'd have taken a picture but she was so darned mad at me she scooted me back inside and then tried repairing the screen.

Now she's paranoid about the slider being open so when she's not around, she puts the gate up so I won't be tempted to do that again. Debbie came the closest as to why. Good guess!

Today is the day Mazie Grace has her eyeball surgery. We are wishing her lots of luck and hugs and purrs that it goes well.
