Mewsings from Minchie's former Dad
We got an email and some pictures from my former Dad!
"Hope you are having a nice holiday season. I just noticed on your blog about Minchie's habit of getting high once in a while. :) I had my share of him flying to unimaginable places. Here are two pics of him chilling on the bookcase. Sometimes I'd come home and find him sitting there preaching or yelling at me for being late. He is quite a character."

Happy Day After Christmas
Happy day after Christmas! We had a very wonderful Christmas and hope you all did too. This is Mom's favorite purresent she got. She cant wait to hang in up. We are still recovering from all the festivities and our typist is too tired to type anymore. We thinks we will give her the rest of the day off.

Presents galore!!!
When Mom opened our package from Mr. Chen and Ollie there were so many presents that they literally jumped out at us!
Here Laila and I are snoopervisin all the pawsome gifts. There were lots of different smells we were a smellin. We even smelled a smell we never smelled before. Mom said it smelled like a blurpy to her, whatever that is.
Mr. Chen, Ollie and their Mom, we thank you from the bottom of our furry hearts for all our presents. We love them and know all the love and fun that went into picking them out and sending them to us. But the best part of the gift really is that we have gotten to know two new furrends a lot better from this and will treasure their furrendship forever. We wish you and your fambly a very Meowy Christmas and a Happy and Healthy New Year!
Mom arranged all the presents so you could all see what we got! Mom even got a present from Mr. Chen and Ollie's Mommie! She loves it and put it up in the kitchen already. No one is allowed to wipe their hands on it! We gotted a beautiful Christmas card with Mr. Chen and Ollie's picture on it, two beautiful pink fev-ver catnip toys, a pink Fish 'n Fun toy, two bags of our favorite treats, Temptations, the cutest pink and green catnip teabag (which Mom has never seen and thinks it's too cute), four cans of stinky goodness we've never tried, Meow Mix Salmon and Tuna Cuisine and Fancy Feast Chicken Hearts and Liver Feast in Gravy. Notice the pink theme going on! THE bestest toy, our favorite toy ever which Mom cannot find ANYWHERE...Colorful Springs! She was gettin worried because ours have just about losted all their spring.

It came!!!
Yesterday when Mom got home from running some errands she got the mail and inside the mailbox was a pink notice from the man in the blue shorts that he attempted to deliver a package to US! Out of the corner of her eye she saw him leaving the building across the street and getting into his truck. Well, she ran out the door, down the stairwell and went running into the slick, slushy street chasing him down all the while waving the pink notice. He stopped the truck and opened up the back and there it was!!! Our Secret Paw package! It's from Mr. Chen and Ollie! Mom said we can open it tomorrow night! We are so excited!!!
Minchie was busy snoopervisin Mom with the wrappin of the presents and that's why we couldn't open our Secret Paw package. Not fair!

Easy like Sunday morning
At 6:30 am it was -8F/-22C actual temp and wind chill of -31F/-35C. Think it's a good day to stay in and nap, eat, poop and help Mom with more cookies.
We also has to take care of her because she was pulling out of a friends driveway last night (she went there to let their doggie out) and one of her tires slid off the driveway and she gotted stuck real bad. And it was snowing through all this and she had so much snow on her she looked like a snowman herself. Then she fell on the slippery snowy driveway and hurted her bad knee and has been icing it since. The car was so stuck that she had to call her brother-in-law and her nephew and three of his friends to push, dig her out. What a mess! This all happened as she was leaving to go to the nephew's 16th birthday party at a restaurant. She is forever grateful to those who came and rescued her.

Minchie the Mountain Climber
"Turkish Angoras are athletic, and can jump or even walk, to high places. This is where you will often find them - at the top of the bookshelf, strolling along the mantle piece, or perching on the top of an open door. "
And I am no exception! Since we don't have a fireplace, I guess my next goal would be perching on top of an open door. Mom says I'm like a jumping bean and have springs in my legs.
Mom has a question for my former Dad. Can you tell her any of the high spots you saw me in when I lived with you?

Tummy and toesies Tuesday
In response to Whicky Wuudler's question, when does winter officially start in Chicago? Well, there are only two seasons. Construction season and the winter season. Hahaha!

Loss of three furriends
Yesterday there was quite a cellybrashun at the Rainbow Bridge cause three of ours beloved furriends arrived there…
We are heartbroken for their famblies and are keeping them in our thoughts and purrayers. We will miss their friendship but they will always live on in our hearts and their blogs.
We would like to thank our wonderful furrends Lucy and Trixie for the I Love your blog award. Thank you for following us each day and being our furrends!

Mancat Monday
This mancat is staying warm in this frigid Chicago weather by laying claim to all the cat beds. This is the smallest one in the house and is the one Laila use to (and still does once in a while) suckle on when she was a baby kitten. Note the strategic placement near the heat vent. Mom has cat beds in our storage locker too because she says we have enough out already.

I have a twin!!!
We have furrends who live in Helena, MT that feed the ferals who show up on their big deck. This guy is Jupiter and Mom almost fell off her chair this morning when she saw his picture. At first she thought I'd escaped and went to visit them. We are hoping David will feel sorry for him and try to get him inside. Maybe once he sees how much he looks like me he will!

Thankful Thursday
How exciting! Another package from my buddy Skeezix for winning the Halloween contest!
My trophy came! I already had one posted to my Catster page and didn't know I'd be getting a real one! And some cool catnip, Catster buttons, sticker for when Mom scrapbooks the pictures of the contest and a purrsonally written and signed postcard from Skeezix. This is the best thing that ever happened to me besides my Mom adopting me! Thanks again Skeezix!
We want to say a special hello to Mia, our good furrend in California. Our Mom enjoyed talking with your Mom last night! Special hugs and purrs to you.

Meme time!
Parker asked us to do a meme. It goes a little something like this.
Go to your Picture Folder on your computer or wherever you store your pictures.
Go to the 6th Folder and then pick the 6th Picture. Post it on your bloggy and tell the story that goes with the picture.
Tag 5 other glorious peoples to do the same thing and leave a comment on their bloggy tellin' them 'bout it.
This picture was taken in January 2007 at Mom's work after huge snow storm. The feral kitties lived in the bushes and there was snow drifted all over and around and they were trapped inside! So Mom went and got the shovel and dug out holes for them to come out and eat.
