Mom was a little upset with me this morning. At 4:00 AM I was making quite a nuisance of myself jumping all over her and being a real whiny baby for my breakfast stinky goodness. She finally gave in and fed us so that she could try and get more sleep. Mom really wasn't upset. She knows how it is when mancat bellies are empty and need filling up again. Thanks mom!
Mom wrote to my former dad and he wrote back to tell us he follows our blog every day! How cool is that considering he had to move to the country of Turkey for his job. Dad, I still love you and have a very special place in my heart all for you. I'm sure you can tell by reading this blog that I am very happy here and just love my new home, mom and sister. Mom talks to me about you and how much you must miss me. I miss you! Love, your mancat Minchie (Minchie Man) Meow.
We are very thankful our Uncle Dan is a computer expert and can help us with confusing computer stuff. Yesterday he came over and installed a DVD writer for mom.
Here we are getting acquainted for the first time. Uncle Dan didn't mind at all that I hung around and helped. Of course Laila was no where to be seen.
Minchie here. I try and try so hard to clean Laila's head but she just thinks it's playtime. Then it turns into a free for all and we play thundering herd of elephants until we're exhausted. Mom wonders what the neighbor downstairs must think.
We have gotten some cool awards over the past few weeks and we are just now getting around to posting them. It is so exciting to get these! We think everyone we know has received these already, but know you all are deserving too.
This very purrty award we got from our good furrend Kilroy. Thank you so much!
Our good furrend, Goma, gave us these two cool awards! Thank you so much Goma and Sachie!
I luvs to sit up here and watch mom with my laser eyes while she's on the computer. She says it really freaks her out sometimes. It should. If she can read my mind, it's telling her to GET OFF AND PAY ATTENTION TO ME!
Nope, doesn't look like she keeps our food in there. I am thankful mom has food in the freezer for herself. We are purraying the electricity gets turned back on for our Texas furrends real soon so their freezers can look like this once again.
This is four buildings down from mom's work from all the flooding over the weekend.
The road not far from mom's office. We know this is nothing like what the people in Texas are dealing with. Our thoughts and prayers go out to them and hope the water goes away quickly and they all get their power back soon.
It has been raining here in the Chicago area since Friday night. They say it's because of Hurricane Ike. Lots of flooding so what better way to spend the time but napping. Yesterday the official rainfall was 6.64" (12.82" for the month) and it's still raining cats and dogs out there and will be all day. Boo! Hiss!
Mom bought us new nanners and they arrived this week! She gave us one and immediately we started fighting over it. What was mom thinking! We were even growling at each other and being very protective of it. So mom let us have the "spare" but we still had some issues. But we are calmer now. Man, those nanners are powerful!
Mom hasn't checked out stuffonmycat.com like she use to and to her surprise guess who was there yesterday? Me, Laila! We forgot we'd sent that picture in many months ago. It was on our blog a long time ago and we can't find it now.
I think we mentioned how Minchie just loves to watch television. Here he was engrossed in an Animal Planet show about cheetahs. Mom even pulled up a chair for him.
We are so worn out! At 5:30 am this morning we started doing everything possible to get mom up to serve us our breakfast treats and breakfast. Finally after an hour she couldn't take Minchie Meow's meowing and got up . It worked! Now we have some sleep to catch up on. Mom, later today we'll let you take a nap too.
Minchie here. I love to watch tv. Here I am watching the weatherman telling us about all the rain that fell from the sky yesterday...ALL DAY LONG! We got in excess of 3 inches.
Here we are surveying the damage to our flowers. None noted.
Sweet Texas, we know it was your time but our eyes are leaking anyway since we have lost such a dear furrend. Don't worry, we'll watch over your mommy and daddy and stay in touch with them. We will light a candle for you tonight. Thank you for being such a good furrend.
