Lilly's fasination with water
Now she's testing the temperature to make sure it's to her liking.
In the past week two water mains have broken due to the bitter cold and we've had our water shut off to fix the problem. When that happens Mom fills a bucket so that she can use the toilet if she needs to. But Lilly thinks she fills the bucket just for her!

Wayward kitty finally back home
PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. -- Some kitty math: How many lives did little tabby Gracie Mae use up when she crawled into her owner's suitcase, went through an airport X-ray machine, got loaded onto a plane, thrown onto a baggage belt and mistakenly picked up by a stranger far from home?
"She's got to be at four or five now," Seth Levy said after his 10-month-old pet was returned Sunday by a kind stranger who went home to Fort Worth, Texas, with the wrong bag and Gracie inside to boot.
The last time Levy's wife, Kelly, saw Gracie was before she took her husband to the airport. The 24-year-old went back to her house in Palm Beach Gardens late Friday to find the bottom step, where Gracie would usually be waiting, empty.
She tore the house apart looking for the cat, who had been spayed just days before. She and her dad took out bathroom tiles and part of a cabinet to check a crawl space and papered the neighborhood with "lost cat" signs.
Then she got a phone call.
"Hi, you're not going to believe this, but I am calling from Fort Worth, Texas, and I accidentally picked up your husband's luggage. And when I opened the luggage, a cat jumped out," Kelly Levy quoted the caller saying.
Rob Carter said he made it home with the suitcase before realizing it wasn't his -- and there was a big surprise inside.
"I went to unpack and saw some of the clothes and saw it wasn't my suitcase," he said. "I was going to close it, and a kitten jumped out and ran under the bed. I screamed like a little girl."
Carter said that he eventually was able to get the cat to come out from under the bed.
"In the morning, I got close enough to see its collar and the phone number on it," he said. "So I called the number and got a hold of the crying wife of the traveler."
The tabby made the 1,300-mile trip home on an $80 plane ticket. Carter said he considered keeping the cat before he knew she had a home.
"We were going to name it Suitcase," he said.

Well, we are a very unhappy bunch of kitties. Mom is abandoning us again! She says she'll only be gone one night so I guess we can somehow manage. She got invited to attend a Creative Memories scrapbooking regional convention at a local resort. This can only be bad news. She'll probably be raiding our food/toy fund to finance new products in the coming months. Boohoohoo!

Roomba's cool new house
Here's the cool new house the nice lady, Andrea, dropped off. In fact yesterday when Mom was there feeding Roomba and taking this picture, Andrea stopped by to check on him too. She'd been there earlier to put food in his bowl and told Mom she knows he's been using the house, which she thought so too. Boy, that is one spoiled kitty! I'm starting to get very jealous! She's going to be dropping off some hay today to put inside for him and talk about trapping him to get him fixed, whatever that is. I didn't know he was broken. Poor Roomba! No wonder he is so spoiled!

-7 actual temp, -22 wind chill!!!
BRRRR!!!! You cannot believe how cold it is outside! We don't know for a fact, we're just going on what Mom said, but we know she would never lie to us. The only reason she will be going out today is to feed Roomba and buy me more canned stinky goodness. That's our Mom! What she won't do for us furries.
A nice lady on Friday brought a really cool feral shelter she had an extra of for Roomba. Mom thinks he's been using it because the food she put in the top "bunk" of it was gone and when she showed up to feed him yesterday she said she heard him mewing in the bushes and it was taking him longer than usual to come to her so she's thinking he was winding his way down out of his new house. Mom said she'll take her camera with her today to get a picture of it.

My turn to post!
Lilly here. Mom made the mistake of leaving the camera on the floor so I took advantage of the opportunity and snapped my picture since my bratty little sister, Laila, hogs OUR blog all the time! Looks like I need Mom's help in getting all of my furry self in the frame. My legs are really much longer than they appear here. Have a great weekend efurrycat!

A day like yesterday only comes around once in 100 years or so.
We had record setting temperatures of 60F/16C here yesterday. All the snow is pretty much gone. Mom has all the windows open right now airing out what she claims are kitty farts. MOM!!!
We were very happy to see her last night on her return from her scrapbooking weekend. No pictures of us were scrapbooked as she worked on her Ireland trip. Auntie Dee from downstairs came up and visited which we loved. She takes such good care of us! Mom says she only has one more overnighter this month then she's done for a while. Yay!

Blogging with Mom
Here we are working on our daily blog. I'm still too young and inexperienced to be trusted alone on the computer. Mom is locking up the computer for a few days because she's abandoning us again! Geesh! We can't wait until she stops this and stays home to concentrate 100% on us again! She says she's going to a scrapbooking retreat. We'll just see how much work she gets done.

Happy Mew Year!
Once again Mom abandoned us on a holiday! She went to Cousin Gizmo and Sushimi's house. Here she's letting them have some shrimp. Do you think she thought to bring some home for us? NO!
We had another snow storm. Here is Cousin Lady playing in it. Boy, we sure are glad we don't live out there anymore!
