Womancat Wednesday

This is now Laila's favorite place to hang out.  She just doesn't go in her Costco box anymore.  What's really funny is late at night she'll get the crazies and dart in and out of it moving it all over the place.  Any toys hanging around get whapped all over too.

We were honored to receive The Addictive Blog Award last week from our friend, CJ, of CJ's Paw Pad.   He is quite a legend as he survived a fire that destroyed his home back in February.  He also lost his brother, Cosmo, in the fire.  If you haven't met him, we highly recommend you go on over and visit this sweet mancat.

Easy Like Sunday Morning

We have been having excellent sunpuddle days lately.  That's how I'm going to spend my Easy Sunday!

Frootbat Friday

One thing us Turkish Angoras are known for is our froot bat ears. Mine don't miss much! Here I am stuck like glue to Mom on my blankie on top of her on the recliner. My favorite place to be!

National Feral Cat Day

For many years Mom fed and provided shelter to the feral cats that hung around her office building.

This little trio of kittens were rescued by Mom and her boss in 2003 in the back lot of the office. The little gray one ended up being our cousin, Gizmo(RIP), who lived with Mom's sister.

Gizmo preferred Christmas trees to outside trees after his rescue.

These are just a few of the many ferals that hung around or visited over the years. The building was sold the summer of 2009 so the ferals have gone elsewhere. Mom drives down that street often and still looks for her buddies but has never seen one.

Mancat Monday

 

Thank cod Mom left the closet door open for me when she abandoned us yesterday to go into Chicago to spend the day with her mother-in-law.  The tornado sirens were blaring and big time storms were going on outside.  I stayed nice and safe in my closet.  I'm sure Laila was under the couch.  Mom (a tornado survivor) was freaking out because the sirens were going off in Chicago too.
