Easy Like Sunday Morning

It got up to 88 degrees here in ChiTown yesterday and another 80 degree day is forecast for today. So we are just gonna chillax here on the floor to stay cool. They say cool air falls, so we are ready and waiting for it to fall and hit our hot furs. Mom was sweating like a pig and finally caved and turned the a/c on for a few hours to cool the place off.

Also, remember JoJo , the kitty whose Mom died of the nasty "C" two months ago? Well, her daddy has to go to India for business tonight and will be back Oct. 19 so Mom is gonna be taking care of her and her sister, Sammy. Mom had never touched Sammy before but yesterday was the first time she was able to. She is a gorgeous calico girl and you know how Mom is just insane over calico kitties! Hopefully she won't hide this time when she goes downstairs to take care of them. She told JoJo's daddy Sammy just may be missing when he gets back home. So be prepared to see some pictures of these two in the coming days.

Laila is very thankful for all the fun climbing we get to do on our collection of kitty condos and cat tree. And we love having it right in front of the sliders so we have a great view of the outside.

Mom Pulled a Fast One

Many of you who follow Mom on Facebook know the story behind this first picture. She brought out the PTU yesterday because I was going to the vet for my annual checkup. She did not tell me this part at this point. Since it had been so long since I'd seen it, I gladly hunkered down in it all morning for napping.

When I finally found out what she had planned for me, I immediately turned on my killer lasers full blast just daring her to close the door of the PTU and haul me away!

Well, I guess by now you know who won! But I didn't go down without letting her know how unhappy I was! All the way there, at the vet and all the way back home I complained, at times so loud Mom wished she'd have grabbed a pair of earplugs. By the time we got back home, I couldn't meow anymore I was so hoarse.

HELP!!! Get me out of here! There's another kitty trapped inside the floor!

I finally calmed down when Dr. Mindy came in. Being the studly mancat that I am, all the females just love me. Everyone made a bug fuss out of how handsome I am. I got a clean bill of health too!

We are going yellow today for LiveStrong. We are grateful to Milo and Alfie and Ann of Zoolatry for organising this event for all of us bloggers, and everyone else who helped with it.

There are not many famblies who that nasty "C" hasn't affected. We honor those who have courageously fought and won and those who have lost their battle. Mom's friend just recently lost her battle and knows another, "Auntie" Lee who fighting it right now. We keep all of these wonderful and brave people in our thoughts and prayers every day

Mr. Cancer, you are evil and we pray a cure can be found soon to deaded you and kick you off the face of the world!
