Happy Halloween!

HAPPY  HALLOWEEN!

Our buddies up in Wisconsin, Tucker, Benny and Sadie, of It's All About the Cats, did a post of them all wearing this cute Captain America shirt.  We expressed an interest in trying it on, so they sent it to us.

Mom knew it would fit me so I got elected.  So I guess this is my Halloween costume too.

Laila was very busy sniffing the curious smells on the shirt.  No way would it even go over her head.

Here I am balancing myself up next to the ESS because for some reason I only wanted to walk backwards with it on.  Mom was LOL'ing a bunch.

You can't tell, but here I'm walking backwards.

Thanks for cutting off my head, Mom!

LAILA'S AUNTIES

We hit a wall today as to what to post about, so we thought we'd show you pictures of Laila as an itteh bitteh kitteh with her two favorite aunties.

It's Caturday!

Laila is on high alert.  She hears birdies chirping outside and is bound and determined to make sure they don't get inside.  Oh, and she also does this for rustling leaves.  Silly girl!

And Angel is the Vice President.

Thankful Thursday

Minchie is loving the new bed setup with all those silly stuffed animals gone.  We have two openings for anyone wishing to join in.

National Feral Cat Day

For many years Mom fed and provided shelter to the feral cats that hung around her office building.

This little trio of kittens were rescued by Mom and her boss in 2003 in the back lot of the office. The little gray one ended up being our cousin, Angel Gizmo, who lived with Mom's sister.

Angel Gizmo preferred Christmas trees to outside trees after his rescue.

These are just a few of the many ferals that hung around or visited over the years. The building was sold the summer of 2009 so the ferals have gone elsewhere. Mom drives down that street often and still looks for her buddies but has never seen one. 

National Feral Cat Day was launched in 2001 by Alley Cat Allies, the national advocate for feral and stray cats and a recognized authority on Trap‐Neuter‐Return. Check out their site for information on lots of ways you can help feral cats!

A few weeks back our friend Newton, from Sometimes, Cats Herd You, did a post like this so we are "borrowing" it for today's Easy Sunday.  Laila agrees her ESS scratcher is the purr-fect spot to get her Easy on.  And for some reason, she likes her ESS upside down the best.

Okay, I take one piece of my dry food out of the bowl, drop it and bat it around trying to catch it like I would a real mousie in the outside world.

My favorite part of the game is when I get it underneath the bowl holder and create quite the challenge for me. Us kittens need to keep our hunting skills sharp, right?
