Diva Day for Sweet Praline

A year ago today our very good friend, Sweet Praline, ran off to the Bridge.  In honor of Sweet Praline being the ultimate Diva, Laila is showing her Diva Attitude in celebration.

It's been like winter here in ChiTown lately so Laila is taking refuge in one of the many cat beds we have.  Hope everycat has an Easy Sunday!

Today's Photo Hunters theme is REFLECT.

 

This itty bitty kitty Mom "fostered" for 24 hours back in 2005.  When "Babycakes" saw her REFLECTion in the dishwasher, she did her Halloween Kitty dance trying to scare it away.  This is the one Mom calls "the one that got away".  She couldn't keep her because our sister Cerise(RIP) was so sick and didn't need a crazy little one running around.

Friday Flashback

Today's Friday Flashback goes back to August 2009 and was titled

Mom's bed.

A friend of Angel's Mom gave her this staircase to help Angel get up on the bed. We are keeping it until Angel goes back home so he can get use to it.

One morning Mom heard all this commotion and rolled over and who should be climbing up the steps but Angel! She was shocked!

Two Tummies on Tuesday

Angel wants to thank everyone for the purrs and prayers for his mom while she was in the hospital.  Last night at 9:30 PM they discharged her so Mom went to pick her up and bring her home.  She is feeling better.  This picture was taken when Angel lived with us that year.  He weighed almost 20 pounds back then.  Now he's down to a svelte 12 pounds!

Mancat Angel Has a Request

Hello friends.  I need all of you to keep my mom in your purrs and prayers because she's in the hospital.  Yesterday real early in the morning she called Laila and Minchie's mom to come down and help her as she had called the paramedics to take her to the hospital (Mom Peggy picked up my grandpa and they spent most of the day at the hospital with her).  She has terrible stomach cramping and pains (has had this on and off for a few months) and major puking. They don't know what is wrong yet.  Mom Peggy is taking real good care of me making sure I get my crunchies and stinky goodness and scoopin' my poop.

It's Caturday!

And he has the nerve to think I'm going to give him a head cleaning.

Today's Flashback goes back to August 2007 and was titled

 MEET ANGEL, OUR VERY GOOD FURRIEND

I've been cat sitting for a friend and neighbor's cat, Angel, for a few days and caught him in "action" while playing. For a big boy, he can still move! Usually he comes upstairs and stays with me and the girls but because of Laila and Lilly(RIP) still adjusting to each other, thought it best he stay in his own digs this time.

Big Helpers

We love helping Mom change the sheets on the bed.  It may take us all day to do it, but it gets done.  Teamwork!

Mancat Monday/Happy Birthday Marg

 Minchie is going to settle down for a nap now that Mom gave us some of the Easter ham she brought home for us yesterday.  Yum!  Yum!  Yum!

We want to wish our friend, Marg, the happiest of birthdays today.  She does so much for all the animals.  We love you, Marg!

Thankful Thursday

We have had our ham-micks for awhile now, but Laila has never shown interest in them, so I (Minchie) have had them both to myself!  In the past few months, Laila has discovered how wonderful they are and we find her napping peacefully on them quite frequently.  Everycat needs a bunch of these, so if you want to purchase some for yourself, Forty Paws is the place to go to buy them.  Best thing Mom every bought us!
