All quiet on the homefront

A huge thank you to everyone who offered encouraging words for our Momma yesterday with all her wounds from us. We don't know what got into us! I (Minchie) was just defending her from the bitey Angel put on her leg. She stayed home all day snoopervising us to be sure nothing crazy happened again. When Angel's Mom got home from her work she came up to babysit us while Mom went out and bought a Feliway plugin refill and get Chinese foods. So far we are all behaving again like nothing happened.

Here is a picture of the biteys on her leg.

Taken yesterday.

Taken this morning.

Mom will be seeing her friend who has a PhD in medicines today and will get her opinion if she thinks she needs to have it looked at by a doctor. We really don't think so, but she knows if that red starts spreading anymore she will have to.

  1. I guess sometimes we just get crazy moments and forget ourselves. I've not bitten my Mom in many, many years, but I've sure scratched her at times. Mostly though now when I'm trying to get on her lap and I sort of miss. It's hard sometimes when you get older.

  3. I am glad everyone is back to normal now! I miss my Fingernails, but I guess it's okay that I can't acci-purposely hurt anyone with those. It is hard to live with other Animals. I tried it once, and we did not get along. Good luck, and I hope your Mommy is okay!

  13. We're glad everyone is calm now. They have neosporin with pain relief now, if that bitey is giving her trouble. Mamma says it works well.

  14. We think your mum should go to the human vet just to be on the safe side. She may need a shot. We are glad everything is calm again.

  16. I think if the bite would had been infected, you'd know it by now. When I got bit a few years ago by one of the shelter cats, my hand was swollen in less than 24 hours and I went to the ER (of course, the bite happened on a Friday night) and got antibiotics. I'm glad everyone is calmer today.

  17. Sorry you got hurt, biteys are always sore. I only scratched my mum once, when I had runned away when I was going to the VET and she had to catch me. I only did it cause I was real frightened.

    Get better soon.

  18. Oh my, you had the same kind of week I did - Rocky attacked me twice for no reason whatsoever. I almost went to the ER because when my daughter was young, a bite similar to mine and yours put her in the hospital for two weeks and she almost lost her hand.

I used peroxide and Neosporin and fortunately it didn't get infected and seems to be healing nicely. But bites/scratches on the hand/arm are especially dangerous, so if you have any red streaks or fever, get ER care immediately!
