Tummy and toesies and tattle tail Tuesday

Ah, this is the life!

Mom finally found a beautiful hanging pothos plant yesterday that she's been looking for for years to hang in the kitchen on her brass hook to the right of the sink. Well, Laila is terrified of it! So yesterday Mom took it over to her rec center and gave it to one of the neighbors who works there and lives down the hall from us. Now she is trying to purrsuade scairty cat Laila it's gone and it's safe to come out again. Last Christmas Laila was also terrified of the Christmas tree so after 2 weeks Mom decided to take it down and put it away because having her girl out and about with her was more important. If Mom puts the tree up Laila will not go into any room where she can see it and since we only have 4 rooms, she won't do that to her. She can't even get to her food bowls. Moral of the story? No tree for us this year for sure!!! Anyone want to buy a 6 1/2 foot tree with about a gazillion cat ornaments?

  1. Aww poor Laila, it's nothing to be scared of sweetie. Trees are exciting to climb and you don't even need to go outdoors to climb a Christmas tree.

  2. Poor Laila!

Mommy kind of wishes we had at just a teensy bit of Laila's skairty . . . or at least more respect for her tree. She has to keep it locked up from us in the dining room every year, because otherwise it is totally trashed.

  3. We hope Laila isn't scared of the tree this year. Trees are fun and the ornaments make great Cat Toys!!

  6. Oh poor Laila! We had one cat who was afraid but after awhile she started to explore it though and then it didn't bother her.

  7. Sprinkle the tree with Catnip! Laila, you must conquer your fear and embrace the fun!

We love our tree. As soon as Mom brings it down from the attic we start assisting and snoopervising. When it is all put together, we have to climb it to be sure all the branches are properly placed before any ornaments go on! Then, when Mom puts the tree skirt under it, we have to have a bath on it. We enjoy laying on it when the fireplace is lit, too!

  8. I am so glad that your mom is so considerate of Laila's feelings. She's a good mom.

Laila, maybe this year you will not be scairt of the tree! I am waiting to see if Harley will try climbing our tree. Harley is a little bit bad.

  12. As I already said somewhere else, Michie's picture is just too cute.

Hey Laila, what's up with this fear of green trees, were you attacked by a fearsome christmas tree before you were adopted ???

  15. I'm sooo sorry that Laila is scairty of Christmas Trees. I wonder if you could have a very little counter top tree? Or maybe one that hangs on the wall? My mom bought one of the wall type my first year with her because she didn't know if I would climb a big floor-standing tree..I was one wild and crazy kitten! I've never climbed a tree, but I sure had fun jumpin' up on the table to whap the little ornaments on that wall tree!

Laila, I'm purrin' for you, hon.

  16. Poor Laila! Well, not ALL cats can be gardening cats but it would be nice for you not to have fear. It is so considerate of your mom not to force it on you!
Minchie, my mom just about had it with you: YOU ARE JUST TOO CUTE! That picture is sooooo sweet.

  18. Inside trees are evil! We won't be having one either. Luckily, the lobby of our building puts up a beautiful tree, so mommie can just go look at that.
