Poor Lilly!

You are probably asking yourself what is this scairty looking thing hanging up in our kitchen. Well, Mom knew it would happen one day and that day is now here. Lilly is on sub q fluids like Cerise was a year ago. She's had kidney issues for a few years now and she hasn't been feeling good and not eating and losing weight and puking and yesterday morning was walking around crying a lot. So Mom rushed her to the vet and had to leave her for a few hours while they did all sorts of tests (to the tune of over $400 in green papers!). She is much better today. She's on vitamins and medicines to help her tummy when she eats and something for her loose poopies from the Petramalt because she was constipated. When Mom went back to bring her home she had a refresher course in administering the fluids and did great. So for now Lilly is on daily fluids for at least a week until she can be tested again. I am being such a good sister and not bugging Lilly and being very sweet and caring of her. Mom thinks it's so cute. So, please everyone, keep Lilly in your prayers that she is able to maintain her health and feel better. Thanks!

  8. Aw, poor Lilly. Hope she starts feeling better soon. That's so good that you administer those subQs yourself, Peggy ! Here in the Netherlands I think that isn't possible, never heard of people doing that themselves, but it must be so much better for Lilly than to have to go to the vet every day !

  9. Mommy just got home to help me on our blog, she was out with Boomer getting more supplies for finishing the deck. Lilly we are all purring & praying up a storm....now it's raining here....anyway we are glad you are feeling better! It's great that your mom can handle doing that so you can be home. Setzer had to stay for almost a week and they were giving him some kind of fluids. Our Vet being a Cats only, charges much smaller fees because she doesn't have the high overhead as Vets that work with many different fur & feathered kids. They also totally adore cats...and...NO BARKING!!!!!Take care sweet Lilly & Laila...be a good girl and help Lilly feel better. =^Y^=

  11. What a bummer you have to get fluids, Lilly. Your mom is a trooper for being such a good nurse to you. I hope you won't need them daily after this week and that you are feeling better soon.
