Just not up for pictures

Well, Mom says I go in on Monday at 2:00 pm to have my stitches out then this disgusting bonnet can come off! She promises me that when she comes home from work that day at noon, the first thing she'll do it get if off me...PRONTO! I haven't even felt like playing and I'm sure I've put on a few extra ounces. I have a lot of playing to get caught up on!

Happy Halloween everyone!

Mom to the rescue!!!

Milking this for all it's worth! hehehe!

Peek-a-boo!

This morning I was resting on my cat tree when all of a sudden the bottom of my bonnet was stuck in my mouth! Mom jumped up and ran to me when she saw me flailing and trying to get it off, nearly falling off the tree. She grabbed me, took stock of the situation then proceeded to try to figure out how to get this darned contraption off me. First she had to untie it then figure out how the flaps unassemble. She was just about ready to run for the scissors when it miraculously went back into place around my neck. Now Mom is paranoid about leaving me alone with it on. I'm sure it was just a fluke as I was resting my head on the side of the bed part of the cat tree and somehow it loosened everything up. That was very scary!

Sorry, no picture today :(

Blogger was having issues this morning with the picture uploading. I am feeling more and more like myself. In fact this morning Mom discovered I'd somehow untied the little bow on my bonnet (hehehe!) but she retied it again! boohoohoo! Darn! I thought I could get that one past her. She's always one step ahead of me. She did abandon us yesterday for about 8 hours while she went into the big city. At least she was home all day with us Saturday keeping a close eye on me.

Airing out my private parts

It is a might chilly thats air hitting my shaved belly. Momma says I have a small incision held together with a few stitches. I'm just dying to see them and get them out of my belly but Momma is being mean and making me wear this silly bonnet to keep me from doing just that. How well she knows me! But I'm trying my darndest to get the blasted thing off my head!

Home sweet home!

Here I am in this stupid annoying hat they put on me! But it doesn't stop me from eating my Temptations! hehehe!

Mom says I look adorable. Hrumpf! What we don't go through to humor our humans!

This dang collar is driving me absolutely crazy! Momma helps me by scratching all the itches away. She's terrified to take if off cause she knows she'd never get it back on and knowing me, I'd be at those stitches again in no time. How well she knows me! I now have full roam of the house again. I'm on some meds for the pain which helps me keep my sanity too. So, thank you to everybody who thought of me during this trying time in my little short life. You are all the bestest!

And today I am 6 months old. Thank you to The Buddy Foundation for recuing me that day in June or I would never be here to have this wonderful home they found for me. Like my cousin Gizmo we were sure to have become Coyote food!

My little girl comes home at 4:00!

I go pick up Laila at 4:00 and will get instructions. I found it quite amusing that they have her in one of the dog cages and seems to like it. She's walking around, using the litter box and eating with a little help due to the pain meds. Unfortunately she has an Elizathan collar on as she was bothering her stitches but seems to be doing okay with it. The tech seemed quite pleased with her progress. She's a toughie! WHEW!

Peace and quiet!

Lilly here! What a nice, peaceful quiet day and evening I had yesterday with that little brat sister of mine gone. Just like the old days. Mom says she's coming back home this afternoon some time so I guess I should enjoy my freedom while I still can. I'm really hoping that now that's she's an official big girl, she'll calm down and not terrorize me so much! Well, off to my linen closet shelf to snooze the day away.

She' out of surgery!

She did great and is having a nice recovery. I'll check with them in the morning to arrange a pick up time.

Thanks to everyone for their kind words of encouragement, thoughts and prayers!

She's in surgery right now

I called to check on her and they said she was in surgery right now and doing great. They will call me when they are finished. My poor baby girl! boohoohoo!

Packing for my first night away from home

Momma is taking me to the V-E-T this morning for my big girl surgery. My suitcase is all packed and I'm starving because she won't let me have any of my nummies! Keep me in your thoughts and prayers that everything goes well and that Momma doesn't stress too much with worry. I get to come home tomorrow. I'm sure Momma will post for me later to let you all know how I did. I know I'll be very spoiled at the V-E-T as I cause quite a commotion when I go. Also, Mom has a new way to make it less stressful for me when I go in the PTU. She holds my back legs and picks me up the the scruff of the neck like my real Mom use to do and puts me in with the PTU on it's end. Much less stressful for her too and much less blood and scratches. We've been practising this week so we have it down pat. See everyone soon!

What a gutsey little sister I am!

Here I am visiting Lilly on her shelf and she wasn't too happy! Too bad sis! teeheehee! There's plenty of room in there for the both of us.

Pretty in pink

Here is one of the thousands of Marie stuffed animals from Momma's bedroom. She finally had to stop buying them cause she ran out of room. I wish they were alive so I'd have them all to play with.

Hey, cats of the corn, when Momma was in Iowa she was thinking a lot of you and Matt and Sue wondering how close she was to you. You have a very nice state. It does look a lot like Illinois with all the corn fields. Oh, yeah, do you know what happened to Sparkey's website? It's missing! We noticed the other day on his cam that his food bowls were gone. Boohoohoo! We hope he is okay.

Our Chirstmas shopping is done!

On the way to Momma's friend's house in Iowa, they stopped at the largest truck stop in the world.

In the store there she saw this jacket that she just had to have and told us that's what we were getting her for Christmas. We really think this is her way of rationalizing she should buy it. Even strangers came up to her and said how good it looked on her with her hair. Little did they know that it was "so" her!

And we are sooooo happy to have her back with us! We missed her sooooo much! And we know she missed us too because she kept picking us up and giving us lots of kisses and hugs. She even stopped by work to feed Roomba who was very happy to see her too! She had to keep the car lights on to get to the food bowls. As soon as she pulled up he came running and crying for her.

Life is good once again!

We're orphans this weekend!

Oh, boohoohoo! Mom is going on a road trip in an hour to Cedar Rapids, Iowa and won't be back until Sunday and the worst part is...she is going to hide the key to the computer! So, we won't be back on our blog until Monday. Not to worry, our Auntie Dee will come and check on us and play with us while she's gone. Have a great weekend everyone!

Lumpy mattress?

Hmmmm...Laila is missing.

This mysterious lump is on the move! Could it be the missing Laila?

Meet Connie

Roomba's step-sister, Connie, followed him to my car yesterday when I pulled into the lot at work but got spooked when I got out. She has the cutest white tip on her tail. Her markings look like Connemarra marble so I named her Connie for short.

Computer geek in training

Everyday Mom helps me on the computer with my blog. Soon I'll be able to do it all by myself!

Tunnels of fun

When Mom stands my tunnel up like this I have no way of getting out.

Then she let go and it came crashing down. Whew! Thanks Mom. Now I'm even teaching myself how to drag my flattened tunnel out and build it myself. Mom was very impressed with my work!

How convenient

Now if Mommie would just move my food bowls in here I'd never have to leave.

Multitasking

Mom says I'm multitasking with my toys because I have so many and want to play with them all at once.

Meet Samantha, Roomba's girlfriend

Roomba sharing his food bowl.

Roomba looking in at me not quite sure what to make of this girlfriend business.

Samantha loves Roomba. Seriously, we think she's in heat and Roomba may be a daddy soon. If so, I'll be on kitten watch and will try to trap them.

It was very cold here in Chicago yesterday. Here Samantha and Roomba help each other keep warm. It would be nice if she stuck around this winter to help him stay warm.

How does mommie make it rain on us when we are boxing?

She has a little spray bottle she hides in her hand and gets us when the boxing gets too rough. She thinks we aren't on to her. Hehehe!

Time out for some serious business

As long as we stay on our own sides, no fighting breaks out. This morning while we were waiting for our good morning treats, we were boxing and all of a sudden it started raining on us. How could that happen? Do we have a leak in our ceiling?

Mom abandoned us yesterday!

Monkey

Misty

Mom spent the day yesterday way far away south of us at a house that had two kitties. The top kitty is Monkey. A long haired handsome dude. It's amazing this guy is 22 years old! He sure looks good for his age! He moves a little slow and is deaf, but other than that does quite well. His sister, Misty, was a very shy one and hid most of the day. She's 7 and has diabetes. She's a very fluffy girl!

Good hiding spot

I was hiding from mom and for some reason she found me right away. Boy, she is good!

There were four cats in the picture from yesterday. There was one in the window looking out. Special kudos to beau beau & angie for their comment "Is dat what yoo call Cat on a Hot Tin Roof?" Our mom was rolling all over the floor in fits of laughter. Quite scarey to watch!

Cats from Ireland

Cats sunning themselves on a roof. How many do you see?

My sister-in-law actually got to pet one!

One thing I noticed on my trip to Ireland in June was that we saw very few kitties. Here are pictures my sister-in-law took last month when she was there. Us cat-a-holics need our daily kitty fix!

Mom's turn to post

Binky Bumpus

Binky Baby

The bottom picture is my Binky Baby who owned me for over 13 years. I love them all the same, but she was my favorite. She crossed the Bridge March 5, 2005.

Our good friend Liz named the precious little baby on top after my Binky Baby. Meet Binky Bumpus. Well, Binky Bumpus is one years old now and a very beautiful black beauty, just like her namesake.

What is going on?

Is mom "losing" it? This isn't the normal place she puts my treats at treat time. She's really making me work for them. I don't know her reasoning for this. Oh, well, you know humans. Better off not to trying to figure them out. If it amuses her, I'll cooperate.

Tunnel fun

Checking out my construction

Hey, this is cool!

OOPS!

Oh, dear me, now what do I do? I think I need to add more tunnels to make it stronger.

Lilly and I both guarding our ends.

No way!

Now honestly, do you believe this cute little innocent paw could do the damage mom claims it did Saturday? Now she's saying she's finding wounds on her tummy, back, and chest. Yeah, right! I think she's looking for sympathy. She did try to put me in the PTU with a towel, but because my furs are so silky soft, I slipped right out! heeheehee! Just like a little greased piggy!
